flexible display start-up canatu oy secures 10 mln euro funding - large touch screen monitor

Up Canatu Oy said on Wednesday that it had already received 10 million euros ($11 million)
In addition to the € 12 million loan arranged by the European Investment Bank in July, the bank has also provided funds for its expansion in the flexible display market.
Canatu said it has received "post-investment" from investors, including a Finnish venture capital firm, Inventure, and a global car company.
The company makes films and sensors for flexible touch screen devices.
The company said a smart watch with a touch screen based on its technology will be launched early next year.
Canatu says it also works with a car manufacturer that aims to integrate dashboards and center console into a large touch display.
Founded in 2008, the company is a university.
Off said it currently plans to expand production capacity in Helsinki and double the existing 40 employees.
