If you want a truly powerful mark to distinguish this generation from black peopleand-
It can be said that the difference in White is in a question what is your idea of comparing your learning experience in a primary school classroom? Are you a blackboard person or a whiteboard person, learning through the screen has become the norm in the past few decades, not only through interactive classroom whiteboards, but also through countless devices used in daily life: smartphones, tablets and laptops.
However, even though they have so much value, they have the ability to integrate us into almost all the human knowledge on the web, and the learning experience is still more effective by using good old knowledge
Paper books.
And, according to the doctor
Shane Bergin told Keelin Shanley on today's show that the sooner learning begins, the better. Dr.
Shane Bergin is a physicist and lecturer at the UCD School of Education and a strong advocate for children's reading.
As a child, he can name the book his parents read to him, and he firmly believes that this experience is extremely profound from an educational point of view.
For young children, many of their senses are attracted when operating electronic devices, which is actually a disadvantage.
When someone reads it to you, let your hands and eyes relax and let the brain have a greater ability to participate in the imagination.
And, while it is difficult for many parents to keep young eyes away from smartphones and tablets, ironically, when reading and digesting written material, the same young people still like traditional paper books.
Not only that, but research also shows that people who Shane calls "digital Aborigines" are actually better at engaging with traditional books.
On top of that, children have a greater sense of ownership of a book, and according to Shane, even if they scribble on the book, it is a sign of this intimacy of ownership. Dr.
Shane Bergin is involved in the launch of the science apprentice, five vibrant series of books in collaboration with the UCD and the Irish Science Foundation, designed to stimulate children's interest in science.
Science apprenticeship books are collected free of charge at Tesco stores and the Irish Independent newspaper every Saturday to November 26.
