SPAN's new digital bus has appeared on the streets of Los Angeles.
Cable networks funded by cable and satellite TV affiliates use buses to visit schools and communities.
Unlike other networks, C-
SPAN doesn't have a "personality or rating", says executive director Brian Lamb, so we're trying to design something that we can take around the country to explain what we're doing.
"This month, two original buses that had traveled more than 1 million miles were retired.
The new digital bus allows more interaction, including smart board technology, webcam and computer kiosks with access to the network video library, including interviews with more than 115,000 people.
