In a statement to the media, the company acknowledged the power outage and blamed it on network congestion in California.
"We experienced severe network congestion in the eastern United States, affecting multiple services from Google Cloud, GSuite and YouTube," the company said.
"Users may see slow performance or intermittent errors.
"We believe we have identified the root cause of congestion and expect to return to normal service soon," the company said in a statement . ".
