This is one of the shelters that benefits from collaboration between the Homeless Services Department and the Manhattan Children's Museum, which has developed a health and literacy learning center for children and parents.

15 centers have been placed in shelters and daycare programs around the city, including the first of the 10 centers planned under the funding of the Target store.
The project is a response to the city's homeless crisis.
There are nearly 24,000 children in urban shelters.

The Manhattan Children's Museum shares their services in the town's community through this project, but they also want everyone involved to visit the Upper West Side.
Additional rewards: families from shelters and community centers participating in the event can visit the museum for free and be eligible for membership.
