Apple's iPad Pro is Mercedes-
Mercedes-Benz g5x tablet.
G50 is Uber for mercedes
One of the most certain-Su Fufooted four-wheel-
Cars sold today
It has a fully lockable front, middle and rear differential for maximum traction on most of any surface.
If I drive through Chad, for example, that's the car I want to take.
I like cars. I like g503.
I can appreciate the engineering of making such a capable car.
I also live in the suburbs of New Jersey, so I definitely don't need the g50 even if I have enough money to buy one.
Apple iPad Pro ($799-$1,079)
The best size-
A screen tablet with a connectable keyboard and an optional stylus, which you may purchase today.
If you have nearly 13 in the market-
Inch touch screen, I really
Ironically, you will find that the iPad Pro is perfect for your needs.
There are a lot to recommend about Pro. The 12. 9-
Inch display is one of the largest, worst and highest
Solve the things you can master.
These four speakers are louder and fuller than any other tablet you encounter.
The A9X processor runs quickly and smoothly.
Developers are lining up to develop and transform software for all these new properties.
Apps like 53 papers have been customized for Pro, and so is Adobe's set of design programs.
Business-
Dashboard apps, medical apps, and other highly specialized apps for different professions.
To extend the utility of Pro, you can purchase two accessories: Smart Keyboard ($169)
And the Apple Pencil ($99).
The Smart Keyboard is a lid that also contains a thin, complete
Qwerty keyboard size.
It is connected to the iPad Pro with magnetic, no extra battery or charge required
It is cleverly driven by the Pro itself.
To use the keyboard, you can fold it up until it becomes a stand for the Pro touch screen.
The key is very shallow, but it works.
I don't know if it's because of Apple's excellent engineering design or because we 've been used to the lighter keyboards for years.
Pro is a hybrid in this keyboard configuration.
You can still use the touch screen if you want, but Apple has iOS enabled on Pro, with a lot of traditional keyboard features, just like the ason on Mac.
Want to switch between apps? Just command-
Like before.
In addition to the keyboard, Apple will sell you a stylus called an Apple Pencil.
This is a very good weighted tool and feels great in your hands.
Working with amped-up, hyper-
Accurate touch screen, pencil can imitate pen, pencil, Markyou name it.
Adjust the angle of the pencil and the width of the stroke changes.
Press hard and draw a deeper line.
Using watercolor, after you remove the brush from the page, you can see that the color penetrates into "paper ".
And, unlike many other stylus/tablet combinations, the screen reacts instantly and there is no lag or interference to disrupt the illusion that you put your pen on paper. It’s uncanny.
So it's all great.
But the bigger screen, the connectable keyboard, and stylus won't add what I want or need on the tablet, nor will it make the iPad my still, still, credible competitor
Perfect MacBook Air.
The Smart Keyboard is smart but a bit clumsy.
You can't really put it on your lap, let alone sit on your lap in bed.
The stylus is probably the best stylus ever, but I can't draw or see the change. (
Also, Apple: add a stand or something to the cover so I can keep the stylus with my iPad. )
Now, you might think, "Okay, Grobart.
But maybe not everyone is like you.
Just dial back a little.
"It's true that not everyone uses computers and tablets like I do.
My colleagues in the art department of Bloomberg Businessweek may find ways to take advantage of all of these Adobe apps.
Doctors may benefit from the Complete Anatomy app for 3d4medicals.
People who run a business are likely to use the dashboards provided in Cynapse's Numerics app.
But I dare say that although not everyone uses technology like me, many peopleEven mostpeople do.
We read online, we check email
Mail, we write things.
For these activities, laptops are still the most elegant answers to our questions.
The IPad Pro has some features around it. It’s a tablet!
Connectable keyboard! And a stylus!
All these things are very good-
I'm just not interested in what it's good.
So I'm not a customer of iPad Pro.
But I think I know who Vic Abart is.
Vic Abate is chief technology officer of General Electric.
He led, among other things, 50,000 scientists and engineers from the industrial group.
Can Vic see that the iPad Pro has some core analytics software that could be a useful tool for all people who build power plants, locomotives and aircraft engines?
If so, Vic won't buy the iPad Pro.
He bought 50,000.
This spread across the company and the industry. suddenly, Apple has a good business in the business.
This may be smaller than the iPhone market, which may take time, but Apple's wealth is certainly enough to make it patient.
