Look Iceland opened in Clapham, London in October 2016, and nearly 30 stores across the UK have been renovated, while another 25 will be renovated in March 2018.
Neil Hayes, director of merchandise sales and format development in Iceland, said: "Every modified store we have opened so far has caused a real sensation and won praise from our old customers, attracted new shoppers who never wanted to try Iceland.
"The increase in the number of customers and sales will ultimately enable us to provide more work in the store, thus contributing to the local economy as a whole.
"It is only possible to do this size work if we close the store for a while, and I thank all the customers in Cambridge for their patience when the project is completed.
