Neither Sorbello nor the administrator immediately responded to the email from The Washington Post seeking comment, so it was not clear what the purpose of the quiz was.
Sternberg told BuzzFeed that Sorbello did not explain to the class either, so some students then went up to fight him.
Another student, Jessica Friedman, wrote on Facebook: "He told me that the lecture was" humorous in part and didactic in part ".
