About 115 people used the facility until noon on Wednesday, and some of them said it was very useful.
The network selected for the project is 16 km m long, including OMR, Taramani Road, Velachery Main Road, Velachery bypass road, Sardar Patel Road and Taluk Office Road
RTIS provides information to commuters through two media outlets: their website and variable information flags (VMS)
Nearby electronic board Raj Bhavan, central state, Shenshan, samansi party tools, victory city and Teder Park.
After logging in, information about alternative routes and travel times can be obtained by selecting the starting point, destination and mode of the trip.
The site also includes maps depicting congestion levels and speeds, traffic delays maps for various intersections and roads, live traffic cameras, and traffic news and alerts.
The researchers of the intelligent transportation system will monitor the traffic flow (ITS)lab at IIT-
M real-time traffic feedback using GPS devices fixed on 100 MTC buses, as well as 32 cameras fixed on Sardar Patel Road, IT corridor, Velachery Road and Taramani Road
This system is part of the advanced traveler information system (ATIS)
City of India sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY)
Government of India.
It was jointly developed by the Indian Institute of Technology. Madras and C-DAC (Trivandrum).
