To ease traffic congestion in the Disneyland area, the city launched five electronic information signs on Monday instructing drivers to reduce traffic congestion
Head to the roads and send them to the amusement park and the nearby Anaheim Convention Center more quickly.
These signs are similar to the common electronic message boards on regional highways and are part of $1. 9-
Millions of projects paid by municipal, state and federal grants.
The system will be controlled by workers using seven closed systems at the Town Hall
Jim Parral, a traffic engineer, said the touring TV camera could view the streets of the area and suggest alternative routes for drivers with traffic jams.
There are three signs on Katella Avenue and two signs on Port Avenue.
For example, if traffic at the main entrance of the port Disneyland is supported, visitors will be prompted that they can bypass the crisis if they use the Level 2 entrance of Katella Park.
The signs usually operate from 8. m. to 2 p. m.
In the fall/winter season, when the tour is not in peak hours, start at 7 in the morning. m. to 6 p. m.
During the busy summer and Christmas days at Disneyland.
The signs will also be used for night events at popular convention centers such as circus and ice show.
Despite the high cost of the system, Paral says, it's cheaper than other systems ---
The streets of the area have been widened.
"This area is well built and won (more land)
And add lanes to existing roads, "said Paral.
"What this system does is to make better use of the streets we already have.
These backup lines have the ability to handle more traffic.
"Next year, three more signs will be installed near the Anaheim Stadium.
