26 Bridge Street studios and galleries feature Dutch works
Photographer Richard Koek celebrated the birth of the week with a new hope on May 1421.
Richard's photo was transplanted from the Netherlands and now lives in Brooklyn, with bright colors and as many city views as the Manhattan neighborhood they live in.
He called it "New Amsterdam ".
"These portraits have a certain degree of detachment, but also a close observation of the environment and surrounding environment of the subject.
Koek did not engage with his clients, and instead, his technique was to capture what caught his attention at that moment.
Compare yourself to a war photographer
He moves like a soldier on a visual mission in the city and its administrative districts, highly adjusting to cope with these image moments.
The exception to this approach is his description of "Laura"
Speaking, humble, transgender woman, has always been a life-
Long-term collectors of gender and gender materials.
The photos, postcards, flyers and shows she collected for gay nightclubs, music scores and newspaper clippings cover a wide range of gender expressions, from "drag queen" and "King" to "cowboy girl"
Laura's work is currently on file at the Yale Library. line catalog.
Koek felt that her story was worth sharing through a series of photos she took in her small apartment and nearby.
22 images printed on aluminum will be on display in the gallery and will be shown from Tuesday, May 16, until May 21, at the opening artist's reception on Friday, with the digital display of "Laura, may 19 at 7 pmm.
