New York: First Minister of Assam, Tarun Goi 5-
A day trip to New York seeking foreign investment.
During his visit, he met with 75 investors and businessmen from three citiesstate area -
New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Gogoi informed the organization of Assam's comparative advantage over new investors, adding that the state provides them with more incentives and concessions than other Indian states.
This was achieved under the policy of the special programme for Northeast India.
The chief minister also stressed that Assam is now safe and reliable and that potential investors do not have to worry about this.

East Initiative, the Indian Chamber of Commerce, made a digital presentation highlighting the natural beauty of the country and its rich raw materials.
Saharria noted that it is possible for educational institutions in Assam to provide the required skilled labor force that would otherwise be transferred to other states to look for better opportunities.
He said the country also received special concessions from the central government.
The chief minister also visited Boston in July 1 to attend the Assam Diaspora Conference.
