A Professional Manufacturer of Smart Interactive Screens For More Than 10 Years
2003AS digital cameras have flooded the market (
9 million units were sold in the United States last year)
A wave of digital images has swept through memory cards and hard drives across the country.
The options for managing these images are growing almost as rapidly as the camera itself.
These options are divided into four broad categories: software for editing and organizing pictures, websites for sharing pictures online, printers for putting pictures on paper, and mobile devices for storing and displaying pictures.
Each of them can play a role in bringing order to virtual shoe boxes.

Or FireWire cable, infrared transfer or floppy disk.
It's easy, but once the images appear on your hard drive, they will quickly become difficult to find or identify;
The common alphabetical naming conventions for most digital cameras may make it difficult for people to recall which picture is which.
This is where the organization software comes in handy.
Unlike its professional cousin Adobe Photoshop, a new program called Adobe Photoshop Album ($50 at www. adobe. com)
It is mainly about organization and sharing.
However, it does provide something great --

But the highlight of the Photoshop album is its labeling system.
After scanning the hard drive of all folders containing still images and video files and selecting the folder you want to import Photoshop, you can group photos into categories called tags for easy identification.
You can use preset tags like characters, places, and events, or you can create new subcategories.
Even if your folder has been organized and your file is named well, you will still find that the system has improved, because all the digital images scattered on the hard drive will now be collected in photos in Photoshop albums and can be viewed when you launch the program.
Photoshop Album allows you to create a slide show using Adobe's compact portable document format or PDF.
You can add music to the show and send it by email
Mail or burn to disc.
You can also create a video CD or greeting card in PDF format. Another easy-to-

There are other options for Macintosh users, such as Apple's most popular iPhoto, one of the first picture management programs. )
For picture editing and retouching, the basic functionality of the software that comes with the digital camera may satisfy the novice.
But those who have greater ambitions for images need a separate software program.
Adobe Photoshop Elements are a possibility

There are many places worth a visit, but it is worth a visit.
With PhotoImpact 8, you can organize photos into different albums that can also be burned to CD.

Deep color correction and photo retouching, which provides a way to create images from scratch and isolate and grab images from the site to insert other documents you create.
Another option to archive and enhance pictures is the studiline photo version of H & M System Software (www. studioline. biz, $89;
$79 downloadable).
A great feature of the photo version is how it re-creates the folder architecture of Windows Explorer, allowing you to operate in a familiar environment.
Once you have completed the enhancement of the photos, you will want to share them.

Share the website where family and friends can view the pictures.
These sites are easy to sign up and use, many are free and the only cost is to print the order.
Of course, this is another advantage of digital photography.
With the movie, you can develop a full volume with only five admins in the end.
You will then have to double check the negatives and bring back a few selected photos to the processor for re-printing.
With digital images, all you need to do is select the image you want to print.

Other sites have similar settings and slightly changed prices;
Some, like snap fish (www. snapfish. com)or Shutterfly (www. shutterfly. com)
Provide customers incentives such as free printing for new users.
Ofoto and Shutterfly have large feature menus for creating borders, enhancing images, cropping and coloring photos, and converting them to black and white photos.
Snapfish also provides basic photo editing tools.
All three sites can handle movie processing, and in Ofoto you can even order photo frames with your print.
If you don't want to wait until you print it out, you'll want to invest in a photo printer.
Several dedicated photo printers can be printed directly from the most common memory card types, including CompactFlash, smart media, multi-media cards, and memory sticks.
You can bypass the computer: simply plug the card into the slot on the printer or into the multi-card adapter and then into the slot.
You can also connect the printer to your computer, usually through the U. S. B.
Link to print file.
I sampled three photo printers from leading printer manufacturers: Hewlett-
Hp Photosmart 7550$300);
Canon s8 30 (also $300);
And Epson Stylus Photo 825 ($150).
HP model comes with built-in-
In the LCD, you can view the picture before you print it, which greatly increases the convenience factor.
If you would like to provide this feature for Epson or Canon printers, this means an additional purchase of L. C. D.
It costs $80 or $100.
There are four independent ones in front.
Panel slots for various memory cards and an array of built-in minimal buttons
In the preview monitor, the HP model provides the simplest direct printing interface.
The Epson and Canon control panels are a little bit more complicated, but will not be daunting in any case.
The adapter is also used for each memory card.
Once the software that comes with each printer is installed on your computer, you can easily choose from print options such as borderless images and various finishes.
There are also some useful sharing features, such as Hewlett-
Packard's memories' Disc Creator can burn slide shows or photo archives to a video CD along with background music.
No matter which card your camera uses, keep the card free and clear, storage can be a problem if you stay away from your computer for a long time.
The memory card is full and much more expensive than the film, and is less widely used.
So if you're using the camera on the road, your best option might be for mobile storage devices.
Most storage units are a little heavier and a little bigger than normal handsheld computer.
A choice is difficult for basic storage

The capacity of this device is 20, 30, 40 and 60 gigabytes, and the price ranges from $270 to $400.
When the memory card is filled, you simply transfer the data to the device and then reuse the memory card.

This may not be a problem if you only need a place to temporarily store images.
However, if you would like to view your temporary profile while traveling, you may want to consider the eFilm PicturePad from the Delkin device (www. delkin. com).
Its color is L. C. D.
A screen for viewing an image that can be connected to a TV to watch a larger image.
The PicturePad is available in 20, 30, 40 or 60 gigabytes for $550 to $850.
The slot can accommodate CompactFlash, but the adapter for other memory cards must be purchased separately.
