About the Origin of Batman: Arkham, people are very worried (
Check out WB Montreal, PS3/360/Wii U/PC-Wii U version)
Before the release last week.
It looks like there's a lot of potential for this game to be a cash that's fairly unartistic --in.
In fact, the game was not made by Rocksteady Games (
Who developed the first two Arkham games)
But it seems like a huge warning signal to the Warner Brothers in Montreal.
This is enough to convince the most alarmist players that B: AO will suck it out loud.
Thankfully, WB Montreal did not make any major changes to the Arkham formula.
In many ways, this game is like an additional game.
On Arkham City-the mechanics are pretty much the same, the tone doesn't change much, and many of the same characters come up again.
That's no problem.
While this may not be the bravest option, we need to be honest about the origins-a game designed to fill the gap between Arkham City and the proper sequel.
While as far as I can tell, the official doesn't say anything, it seems to be a fairly safe bet that Rocksteady himself may be working on a suitable bat when WB Montreal puts its origins together
The sequel to the next generation of consoles.
In this case, the origin actually exceeded expectations.
What could be just a crappy cash-
In is actually a very solid part of the series.
This is the story-in this prequel, Batman has been operating in Gotham City for nearly two years.
He was entangled with enemies such as the Red Hat Gang, the calendar and the black mask.
Especially the mask, he decided enough, he hired nine assassins to kill Batman on Christmas Eve.
On a long and hard night, Batman will face the classic villain for the first time and will meet him for the longest time --
Running allies-
Jim Gordon, future police chief.
On that night, Batman will be from (
As Alfred described in a scene)“a trust-
To finance the anger issue with the harsh protectors that Gotham needs.
As a comic fan, the story is a delight.
The previous Arkham games certainly draw on some of the great Batman stories-the original Arkham Asylum game was largely attributed to Morrison's "Arkham Asylum: A serious seriousness on earth though Arkham City seems to have been inspired (
Beautiful anyway)from the year-
Long series "No Man's Land", where Gotham was flattened by the earthquake.
On the other hand, Origin seems to draw directly from a series of classic Batman stories-first grade, Long Halloween, under the red hat, "Killing jokes" and "laughing people" seem to be clear sources of inspiration for the story.
The expansion of the Arkham City crime scene investigation is one of the best new elements. The high-
The technical sensors in the Batman suit will analyze the scene, and taking into account the blood splashes and debris patterns, etc. , will actually put together the holographic representation of what happened at the crime scene.
It's like BS excess technology used on CSI taking steroids, but when I found out that these things got me out of the police program show, it was perfect for Batman and his world
In particular, the investigation of the murder of lacita provides an absolutely perfect introduction to certain classic batsvillain.
However, the crime scene investigation did raise an interesting issue-in the name of putting fun and games before issues such as continuity, batman does have access to some of the gadgets he first acquired in previous games, which are played in chronological order after this game.
This is a necessary sacrifice-the city of Gotham is at least twice the size of the city of Arkham.
Without the Boost of Grapple Boost, sailing in this huge world would be an incredible pain, though Batman commented in Arkham City that he was only testing it on the ground at the time.
The introduction of the same glue grenade function as the frozen grenade in Arkham City is also a bit lazy.
There are some very satisfying boss encounters in origin.
Boss fights in sheltered areas are often seen as one of several downsides of the game and fans are happy to see these improvements in Arkham City.
Origin continues this trend, especially in the fight against death stroke and Firefly (
Even though the latter feels a little like a quick-
All open time eventsscreen prompts).
In terms of negative marking of the game, the combat time is slightly different from the previous game.
This is not a big problem, but it will certainly be much easier to be eliminated from the battle group now.
The camera usually pulls too close in the smaller war room, which doesn't help, meaning you don't necessarily see the mobs that are about to throw a propane tank at you.
Personally, I'm not interested in the new online multiplayer mode and have a great experience with the armored version of Arkham City, so I chose Wii U (
Cheap $10 due to lack of online games).
So, while I can't personally comment on multiplayer mode, everything I hear and read shows that it feels great and lacks a lot of polish.
I can't comment in person either, but I hear a lot of PC players saying that the PC version of the game is very bad and requires a patch very much.
On Wii U, I have very few problems (
The game froze on me once)
While I did miss some of the features I would like to inherit from the armored version, like using a touch screen on the game handle for a communication hack.
Oddly enough, while some of these features are not complete, the impact gloves obtained in the game are just the renamed version of the armor version B. A. T. technology.
These are minor issues though-you can still use the touch screen to quickly change your path points on "forever --
Open the map so it will be enough for me.
The only missing feature I really feel frustrated with is the lack of visual riddles to solve.
This is one of my favorite parts of the first two games, and the visual Easter eggs are not missing-I saw weapons boxes from Thomas Black and a Queen's industries for example.
Batman: The Origin of Arkham is more of the same-of course, there are some additions here and there, and Gotham has a whole new section to explore, but it is almost the same land as Arkham City.
This is not a problem for games like this.
In fact, after Rocksteady finished their next Arkham game, I really don't mind seeing WB Montreal kick again in the jar.
They did some really good work here and I was very interested in playing more games early in Batman's career.
