"The good news is that we have recalled half of the hour staff and the rest will be back in the next few days.
"Paolini does not provide details on the time, duration, or if there is a target for the attack.
"This is basically a network server issue involving malware," he said . ".
"We have already reported (the incident)
Work with them.
"Unfortunately, a major cyber attack like this is not unusual," said Vice President Rob Martin.
President of Cambridge Security Operations
ESentire, a network security company.
"Under it's stuff-reported.
"So far, Christie's numbers have not yet become eSentire's customers, and eSentire offers managed detection and response services to about 700 mid-market customers across all industries.
"It's mainly opportunistic activities," Martin said . ".
"The old saying insists here --
An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of treatment.
"ESentire has detected more than 1 in the past six months alone.

On November, Scott Elliott, senior manager of Christie's global infrastructure, discussed steps for the company to protect and back up data.
Reports say that thanks to Christie's backup, it has been able to recover more than once from ransomware attacks.
Paolini declined to comment on whether there had been an attack in the past.
"It's an expensive job to clean up garbage," Martin usually points out . ".
"It can invest tens of thousands and tens of thousands of dollars soon.
Christie's said it was believed that customer information had not been affected in recent events.
The system is being re-launched, the product is being shipped and the customer is being taken care of, said Paolini.
Christie's has also hired outside experts to help accelerate the recovery process.
"The lessons learned from this experience will apply to our standard operating procedures," said Paolini . ".
The company's top priority is to ensure that all systems are safe and reliable and are back to normal operation.
"These events are an unfortunate fact in life today," said Paolini . ".
"It's annoying, but we're already running and doing a good job.
