She didn't know she would get an award, but it was a pleasure to get it.
Mrs Suzy said watching the show continue to grow was her proudest achievement.
This year's award was presented last night at the black tie event held at Air New Zealand's Christopher rokerson, the Vector Arena appointed president of the year.
EBOS Group won the company of the year award.
Air New Zealand was named the best company of the year last year and its chairman, Tony Carter, won the best chairman of the year.
This year, the award was awarded to Joan Withers for her role in the Mighty River Power and TVNZ.
Mr. Lawson took over as chief executive officer of Air New Zealand in 2012.

Judge Fran sullivan, commercial editorial director at NZME, said: "Craig shows the power of character and the philosophy of Donald's" humble and smart . ".
"We were incredibly impressed by Craig's mana, personal spirit, integrity, drive and achievement levels.
Deloitte chief executive Thomas Pippos congratulated all the top 200 winners, saying he continued to be impressed by the leadership, vision and resilience of New Zealand's largest organization.
"In the 26 years of Deloitte's top 200, perhaps the most significant feature of some of our big companies is their ability to adapt and self-adjust and reshape to stay ahead of the competition, mr. Pipps said.

"Given that our top 200 organizations are still the backbone of the New Zealand economy, this is a very desirable feature to celebrate.
"Deloitte's 200 strong Awards, set up in 1989, are held annually to recognize top business leaders and companies in New Zealand's business community.
The award also released details of China's top 200 companies.
