Next to the mini house is a display of what residents can do in the backyard to protect the environment, such as collecting rain water in buckets, growing vegetables in the garden and cutting grass with push mower.
The two energy labs show visitors how water heaters work and what progress has been made in improving efficiency, how windmills generate electricity, the difference between incandescent lamps, fluorescent and LED bulbs, how solar panels and fuel cells work, and other new concepts for creating energy in the future.
Visitors are encouraged to interact with exhibits and use touch screen computers to get information on energy consumption and power generation.

Including kiosks and computer stations, visitors can monitor the amount of energy generated by solar panels installed on the roof of the Environmental Center at these kiosks and computer stations, calculate the carbon footprint or learn about the history of power.
