fixed slide projector with low energy consumption - slide projector

fixed slide projector with low energy consumption - slide projector

The luminous image projected by the Slide machine is a good and simple way to add characters to the room.
However, the disadvantage of the slide machine as a fixed lighting element is that the power consumption is relatively high and the internal fan generates considerable noise.
In this specification, a slide machine with a power consumption of 195 W is being rebuilt to work at 18 W (
Energy saving corresponding to 91%).
As a result, the light rate of the bulb was reduced by 95%.
However, since the luminous power in the original state is much higher than the power required for atmospheric lighting, the new state of the slide machine is ideal for use at night, when it is dark.
The modification is completely reversible and will not affect the state of the slide machine (
See also the first step on safety).
All the pictures in this manual show the condition of the modified projector.
The illustrations used in this manual show the paintings of the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890)
: The scenery of Twilight (1890)
"Farmhouse with two numbers "(1890)
And the lonlois Bridge (1888).
The core of the reconstruction is the replacement of 150 W (
24 v, 4500 lumens)
Halogen lamps by 14 w (12 V, 205 lumens)halogen bulb.
The original plan was to use a powerful LED, but that didn't work out well.
The highly concentrated, powerful and uniform light provided by halogen lamps is the key to creating a good lighting effect using the slide machine.
Another major improvement is that the cooling fan needed for the 150 W lamp can be replaced by a smaller, more muted fan.
This modification makes the slide
Projector especially suitable for living room.
Note that the slide machine used is a traditional device based on bulbs with incandescent lamps placed in the focus of the lens and reflector.
It may work with modern LCD
Also based on the projector, but not sure if this can be done in a reversible way.
In addition, the advantage of the slide machine is that the mechanism to keep the double positive is in place.
Safety warning: in the original settings and modified state, the fan is required for both cooling lights.
Cooling is still absolutely necessary, as is the case in the new layout of the less powerful bulb.
Omitting the fan is likely to cause a fire.
Therefore, the device should not operate unattended and requires supervision from knowledgeable adults.
See also Step 1.
In the final steps of this note, two previous openproducts lighting items are presented: giant ceiling lights (step 7)
And wooden lights. rail (step 8).
Step 9 records aspects of low innovation
The Power Slide projector and step 10 solve the licensing problem.
In the original settings and modified state, the fan is required for both the cooling light.
Cooling is still absolutely necessary, as is the case in the new layout of the less powerful bulb.
Omitting the fan is likely to cause a fire.
The new layout does not have essential safety measures like temperature sensors or fuses that may exist in the original state.
Therefore, the device should not operate unattended and requires supervision from knowledgeable adults.
In order to power the cooling fan, it is better to use the same transformer to ensure that the fan is automatically turned on when the light is on.
If there is a temperature sensor (
Usually close to the lights)
It can be integrated in a circuit that powers the lamp.
This is not shown in this structure.
Please note that this measure makes the setting more secure but still requires continuous supervision.
All electrical components in the original equipment will not be used in the new settings: 14 w halogen lamps and cooling fans will be powered by separate transformers.
If it is not important to keep the slide machine intact, the lens and mirror of the projector can also be taken out.
This will result in smaller installation sizes.
From the slide machine, only the lens, mirror and secondary lens bracket are used.
Required materials :-
One slide and one slide-
12 V 14 W halogen lamp (or similar*)
Including a socket
Cooling fan: low power, low noise (And low pressure)-
Transformer for power supply of halogen lamp (
Also cooling fan)
In this manual, an improved halogen lamp is used as a light source for lighting.
* With 5 w halogen lamp bulb, the modification works normally (
9 W, including transformer and fan, energy saving 95%).
Cooling is still needed.
Due to the risk of fire, it is highly recommended to use bulbs with higher power levels, also see step 1.
Apparently, the glowing image using the original light (150 W)
The result is a very bright picture, and despite the high power consumption, the cooling fan makes disturbing noise.
Another way is to use a dimmer
Switch to reduce the energy consumption of slide machine.
However, this is not a success: power consumption is reduced to 50 W in the case of almost no light.
Remove the light from the projector and start rebuilding the projector (see next step).
Create a structure that allows the lower incandescent lamp to be placed
Rated halogen lamps in lens focus and projector reflector.
This place is easy to find because it is just high
Found the light bulb.
In addition, the clarity of the luminous image on the wall is an indicator of the correctness of the bulb placement.
Connect the transformer to power the bulb.
Because the cooling fan needs to be installed correctly first, do not turn on the light.
See the next step.
Install the cooling fan to make sure there is no leakage, I. e.
All air sucked by the fan should be led along the bulb to achieve maximum cooling effect.
In order to power the fan, it is better to use the same transformer to ensure that the fan is automatically turned on when the light is on.
In this example, a separate transformer is used, but this creates additional security risks.
A good place to hide the projector is on the shelf opposite the projection wall.
The Slide machine can be hidden between books, and a fake spine is covered very well.

As of January 7, 2013, the concepts described in the guide were innovative. These are: 1.
High replacement-
The power supply lamp of the low power lamp in the slide machine keeps its function unchanged (
Low light production though)
Significantly reduce electricity consumption; 2.
Replace the noisy building
The external mute fan cools the fan and reduces the noise, making the projector suitable for continuous use at night;
However, it should be noted that original safety measures such as temperature sensors and fuses are bypassed, which makes cooling an important aspect.
The modified projector requires continuous supervision from a knowledgeable adult.
