Stephanie Holmes and Cathay Pacific fly from Hong Kong to Auckland.
Aircraft: A350-
Class 900: business class. There are 38 seats on this plane.
28 luxury economy class and 214 economy class.
Price: The return business class ticket from Auckland to Hong Kong will be available from US $5079 to January 18. Flight time: The flight was originally scheduled to be 10 h 50 m, but the captain pre-
The flight notice said it would take 9 hours and 50 minutes.
We pushed back from the gate 10 minutes late but still arrived 40 minutes early.
My seat: just after the second cabin door, a window business class suite on the partition.
This section of the business class has only 8 seats, compared to 30 seats in the first section.
While this means your last meal, it gives you better privacy and peace.
The seat in the Cathay Pacific Business class is very comfortable and completely deceptive.
Keep flat when touching the button, as well as different options for leg rest, backrest and seat position.
There is a locker next to the window and a retractable armrest/shelf on the aisle with storage space for small essentials --
Perfect for easy access.
Other passengers: most are New Zealanders, some British and Chinese, and two large groups of children from economic schools.
Full: complete.
Entertainment: The function of the Cathay Pacific system is great-
Touch screen with the option to create your own playlist with movies, TV shows, podcasts, music and magazines.
Service: Thai crew KK took good care of me.
She is very friendly, interesting and loving.
Worry if I'm full and check me regularly.
Food and drinks: local time is nine o'clock P. M. when we fly, so NZ time is one o'clock A. M.
I tried to fight the time difference and reset my biological clock and I wanted to eat and sleep as soon as possible.
I chose not to accept one of the four main courses offered (
Chinese beef bris, fried Atlantic cod, Japanese pork or vegetarian rigatoni)
Appetizers only-
Prawns with grapefruit and green papaya and assorted salads.
But I couldn't help it when KK came back with a cheese tray and offered three types of cheese, biscuits, apple slices and Cabernet sauce.
Breakfast was a little disappointing-
I wanted parsley omelet, but it was gone by the time I served, so I received scrambled eggs.
Water and tasteless.
However, bircher muesli is delicious.
Toilet: clean and tidy whenever I use them.
Luggage: on flights connecting via Hong Kong, business travelers are allowed to carry two pieces of checked baggage weighing up to 40 kg and one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg.
If you are on a direct flight from Hong Kong to Auckland or Christchurch without a transfer or transfer, you can check in three pieces of luggage weighing up to 23 kg.
Airport Experience: I came by early flight from Bangkok, so I was able to pass the transit security without having to take back my luggage.
In less than 90 minutes between flights, I went straight to the nearest Cathay Pacific lounge --
In this case, the bridge
Took a hot shower, had a small plate of cheese and biscuits, and had a refreshing cup of ginger tea and lemon grass tea.
The bottom line is: I really enjoyed this flight and would even be happy if it took a little longer so I had more time to watch movies, eat more and sleep a little more.
I know. I know. I'm weird.
