Game of Thrones is visually stunning, but some viewers at the Battle of Winterfell last night were disappointed with the overly dark scene. The low-
The lighting shots taken to watch the difficulties have frustrated the fans of the show-but we have some tips on how to fix it.
A film photographer working on Game of Thrones told Insider that the film's dark scene was "as natural as possible ".
But YouTube's popular star, Kathy Nister, wrote on Twitter: "The article says the GOT is dark because the creators of the show want it to be realistic.
"It's a show about flying dragons and zombies.
No one is here for realism-give me a little light.
Another fan tweeted a photo of a woman squinting her eyes and said, "We 've all watched Game of Thrones tonight. "
Because the screen is dark and full of fear.
One person posted a photo of a black screen and wrote: "There is a spoiler without a background.
You can't see anything?
This is because the episode is dark af.
"So, if you want to light up the episodes from last night or get ready for the next episode, follow these steps.
This is an obvious but easily forgotten option: the brightness of the TV on.
Watch regularly and increase brightness will cause cleaningout colours.
But your TV may not be set to full brightness, so go into the settings and step up the settings.
The Game of Thrones episode last night was particularly dark, so we recommend putting it in the max settings.
You can also fiddle with some other settings.
Most modern TVs have a huge backlight behind the display, which is why you can light up the pixels you see.
Some TVs allow you to increase the brightness of the backlight itself.
Just look for the "backlight" option in the settings menu.
This will use more energy, but it's worth it for the extra details you'll see in Game of Thrones.
Also, it's worth increasing the contrast on TV.
Contrast is the difference between the brightest and darkest images your TV can display.
So by increasing the contrast, you can learn more about the highs and lows of TV viewing-meaning there will be more detail in the darker areas of the screen.
Enhanced contrast should make it easier to tell what's going on in particularly dark scenes.
But this may make the bright scene look a bit strange, so be sure to reset your contrast once the episode is over.
HDR represents a high dynamic range and is a type of video that improves contrast (
Brighter white, darker black)
And a wider range of colors. Most big-
The name TV released in the past few years will support HDR video.
Even if you need an HDR video to enjoy the full effect of HDR, the standard lens can be improved slightly on an hdr TV.
Check if there is HDR or HDR mode in the settings and activate it.
It may improve the quality of the darker areas of the screen you see, even if it is just a little bit higher.
If you have the option to watch on an OLED screen then this is a good move.
For example, both iPhone X, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max have OLED screens, as well as most of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones.
Different from traditional LED
Backlight LCD screen, OLED display with independent lighting pixels, no need for backlight.
With the backlight you will never turn black as there is always a light on the display.
But the pixels in the OLED screen produce their own light: that means they can be turned off completely and show real black.
This improved contrast means it's easier to pick out details in dark scenes, which is great for TV episodes like Battle of Winterfell.
This is not a TV setup, but it will have a significant impact on your viewing experience.
Any ambient light in the room will make it harder to see the darker areas on the screen.
So please turn off the lights and turn off the curtains for the best viewing experience.
It's a bad idea to look like this all the time because it will increase eye fatigue, but it might be worth it to enjoy the battle of Winterfell better.
