It is better to put your laptop in a bag that does not immediately recognize the content as a laptop, and when traveling, you should hold the strap of the bag firmly in your hand, or tied tightly to the shoulder all the time.
When you travel by train, don't take your laptop out to sleep, because thieves can easily take it away and get off at the next stop.
Unless the laptop is in the bag and you wrap the strap around your arm, don't put it in the seat next to you.
Don't put your laptop on the overhead shelf.
Not only can it be stolen, but it can also be damaged if it bounces.
The best place to store your laptop might be to put it on your lap with your arms on it.
Another option would be to put it on the floor between your legs and wrap your leg around with a strap.
The loss of the laptop could mean a much higher price than the device.
You may also lose some key data, such as proprietary information and personal information.
