COM: What is your life like before joining LIVESTRONG. COM?
Evan: Strong living.
COM saved my life twice!
After a health scare in 2009, I initially discovered the MyPlate Calorie Tracker, which caused my blood pressure and cholesterol to be too high.
In the next few years, I tried to lose weight but failed to control my health.
While I did not find success in my attempts to lose weight, I did notice the advertisement for LIVESTRONG's MyQuit Coach-dare to quit smoking app.
I have been smoking for 17 years and in the last 10 years I have tried to quit smoking almost every day but have not.
In January 2011, I finally got rid of the habit of nicotine with My Quit coach!
As the way I pay forward, so far I am still a very active member of the quit community to help support others in their fight against this addiction.
On December 2013, I went to a doctor who encouraged me to quit smoking.
My result is the worst ever.
I weigh 210 pounds and I weigh 31. 2.

I have taken several medications to solve these problems, so these are the results of my tests with the help of these medications.
I am only 38 years old and ashamed and humiliated of how far I have made myself go.
That date was a wake-up call to me.
I know it's time to control my health and make some big changes.
I remind myself that if after so many years I was able to successfully quit smoking, I could do anything, and I decided that I would start living a healthier life from January 1, 2014.
By the end of three months, my health had completely improved and some medication was no longer needed. At a follow-

What is your inspiration for making changes?
Evan: The defining moment for me is that my doctor shared my severe test results and told me that I am on the path to diabetes due to my poor health and nutrition choices
Although I am proud of smoking
Three years of free life, I realize now that this is not enough.
I need to dig deeper and find the same determination to help me eventually quit smoking successfully in 2011.
I need to lose the extra weight I 've been carrying for years once and for all. LIVESTRONG.
What is your support system like?
Evan: My girlfriend is the biggest supporter of my weight loss journey.
She always reminds me that if I can quit smoking after trying and failing for such a long time, I can do anything.

What is your diet and exercise plan?
Evan: I used a whole diet that was dominated by fruit, vegetables, lean meat and nuts.

I changed from eating out 6 days a week to eating only once a week.

What are the biggest challenges you face?
Evan: I prefer to exercise outdoors whenever possible.
My favorite activities are cycling and nature walks.
Living in South Florida, the weather can make it all difficult.
Getting up at five o'clock A. M. in the afternoon to get in the sun and get wet is a challenge for me, but I try to stick to it.
I really enjoy being "my time" now ".

Evan: Try to eat as clean as possible!
The meal I made myself was full of ingredients and no processed food.
