how to blend colors in adobe photoshop - wacom

How to incorporate Photoshop in the first difficulty encountered by Photoshop beginners.
It seems a bit overbearing at first mixing, but I can assure you that it's not as hard as it seems, especially when you have the right equipment and learn the right tools to help you move forward
That being said, let's start!
The tablet or mouse is one of the main factors in digital painting, which is often the most easily overlooked for beginners.
I saw many people trying to do digital painting with the mouse, and after a few hours of fighting this project, they gave up and didn't know what was wrong.
The first step is to throw away the mouse and get the tablet and I highly recommend the Wacom Intuos series.
I prefer tablets that are as close as possible to the aspect ratio of the screen.
For example, I have a 27 "iMac that currently runs Wacom Intuos 3-
Oversized, I also have a 15-inch MacBook Pro, I use Wacom Intuos 4-Small.
If your tablet is too big, you may feel that you have to move your arms too much, and if the tablet is too small, you will feel that you do not have enough space to draw.
It's time to configure tablet settings after selecting your chosen tablet, and this part is fairly easy because you may not have to change much in the first place.
Even though you 've already pretty close the ratio of the screen to the tablet, they're usually still a bit off and we have to correct that, otherwise your drawing will still feel unnatural.
Let's turn on your tablet settings.
Tablet Preferences> mapping> screen area> Display X (
Replace X with the screen you use.
I use monitor 1)
And force the proportion. It's that easy.
This will most likely change a small piece of space at the bottom of the table, but it will eventually match the tablet to the screen in equal proportions.
Try it before and after, and when you set up the screen area correctly, you should feel this is more natural.
Brushes aren't that important, and most people are too addicted to these "amazing Photoshop brushes.
"Let me tell you that magic comes from your understanding of composition, color, value, and those interesting aspects of art, not the brush.
Like traditional media, brushes are a tool, tools are nothing without artists, so we will stick with soft circles.
I like to adjust my brush to medium soft.
You can do this by simply selecting the brush from the tool, then right-clicking on the bush on the canvas, and then adjusting the slider.
First of all, my brush is set to pen pressure, and what does this is to make the harder I work, the darker the opacity.
In CS5, you will find this under the brush tool (
F5/window> brush)under Transfer.
I also turn off shape dynamics a lot because my pen Button is set to increase or decrease the brush size.
Now I can choose my first color and start painting, then my second color, start painting at the top of this color, apply less pressure until I get what I like
Remember, it's easier to build these values than to try to click on it for the first time.
As you can see in this example, my digital paint starts to mix, but it doesn't give me the consistent mix I want, which puts us into the next section.
When you press Option (Mac)/ Alt (PC)
When your brush is selected, the cursor will temporarily become a dropper (shortcut -i)
But it turns into a brush (shortcut -b)
When you let go
I bind it to a key on my Wacom so I can simply press this instead of the keyboard.
By doing so, you will find that you can speed up your workflow quickly.
Now, with this new example, you can see that we have a better control over the color and we are able to build the mixture to where we want it, rather than having the program control us, let's get frustrated and let's quit.
Note that my opacity is set to 100% (
Because we control the opacity by touching gently in the pen pressure settings).
Well, say that even with slight contact, we still don't get the good results we want.
You can also adjust the opacity settings a little for help.
Try to keep the opacity setting at 70%-
In most cases, the proportion of 100% is reduced to less than 50% only on specific occasions.
The reason behind it is that if you use a lower opacity in most paintings, you will find that your color looks muddy and dull.
When you make progress in painting, you will learn when to turn up and down, so don't emphasize this too much now.
Each tool in Photoshop has a blurry time and place, and there is no difference in the blurry tool.
I don't use the apply tool for a typical color mix, I usually use color samples for most of my work.
However, it does take a while for you to mix your color in a specific way, maybe it will soften the faint edges, or as if pulling one color into the other
Either way, the smudge tool usually comes down to a purpose in which you feel it will be good for you, but for most color mixes you will find out when you practice
