A Professional Manufacturer of Smart Interactive Screens For More Than 10 Years
Television has always accepted fantasy and business by equal standards.
It is no wonder that almost a decade ago, the FCC issued a decree on standard definition television broadcasting, which will soon be out of date.
Instead, there is a new standard: high-definition TV (HDTV)
Will replace the old analog signal.
Of course, America's distrust of government intervention has left broadcasters and TV makers with no clear agreement on what this "hd TV" is actually.
Instead, the new TV will show 1080-i (interlaced)
Scan Line 720-p (progressive)
Scan lines and traditional analog signals.
In the TV showroom and science museum, people are fascinated by the appearance of several new experimental HD TVs on Display: count every hair on the tiger!
Watch the mud in football!
For me, the picture of hd TV is very clear, which means love at first sight.
Sadly, it will take nearly a decade to make hd TV a common sight in my home.
A few months ago, I decided it was time.
Barriers to entry are still high: prices are quite high --
Clarity is still well above $1,000, and most TV stations rarely broadcast original hd TV shows (if any ).
Still, this is a breakthrough year for hd TV service options.
DISH network has launched an affordable hd TV package for about $1,000, offering TVs and satellite receivers with HD features. (
Monthly service fees are not included. )
By expanding satellite coverage, DirecTV has added hundreds of standard channels and includes several full time hd TV venues.
They also provided a TIVO-
Unit-based, allowing more powerful control over recording and searching for HD (and standard)TV broadcasts.
VOOM brings itself to the satellite market, specializing in high-definition television broadcasts with up to 30 high-definition TV channels.
Even my sleepy, bloated cable provider is finally starting to squeeze HD channels into their already overwhelmed digital cable service.
I decided to try it out in the hd TV service of DirecTV and DISH network.
Living in an apartment in Manhattan, the satellite installation is a bit ridiculous (
Because very few of us can see the clear view of the southern sky)
But both DISH and DirecTV had multiple plates installed on the roof and did a fantastic job.
Like many city dwellers, without a clear path to the TV transmitter, I would not be able to receive an off-site
High-definition television broadcast on local television.
I should also note that kind and persistent people from VOOM have repeatedly tried to get me to test their services as well, but after spending hours with other installers and wires, I decided a little reluctantly that my marriage was more important than trying another hd TV service.
Now I have to find a monitor for the hd TV signal.
A lot of me.
Rich friends have collapsed and bought 40 to 60-
Inch Plasma and LCD screens range from $5,000 to $8,000 (
Although it's nearly $1,000 less than when I started the survey).
The plasma and LCD screens are really beautiful but obviously too expensive for most of us.
Although manufacturers will also launch a more familiar CRT for $1,000 under HD (cathode-
Optical tube technology
The whole fun of hd TV also seems to be about watching biggerthan-Life TV.
I can't bear to ask for another big box with a small screen in the living room.

High quality HD projector, although the cost is different, but the best is more than $10,000.
These projectors also require a lot of maintenance, "future", and they also release a lot of heat.
Finally, I chose a slender variant on an old theme: Post
Projection system.
JVC has several HD-

The footprint of the projection screen system is very small: only 7-
Although the display area is large, it is still several inches wide.
Of course, you can't hang this huge screen on the wall like a delicious tablet screen.
The LCD and plasma screens are indeed brighter and the images are usually clearer.
But a new back-projection screen like JVC offers a great look at a reasonable price.
You have to endure other compromises with the rear.
Projector: It takes about a minute to turn on, it takes a minute to cool normally, and the projector bulb does take a while to replace. (
I don't need to do this yet, but the replacement process looks quite direct --forward. )The 3-
Compared to me, the picture given by the chip JVC projector is significantly better than the other rear projectors.
Remember one of the issues I mentioned about HDTV is the lack of a single standard?
A huge setback for the HD experience is the constant adjustment needed to properly display the content.
If you are watching HD broadcasts, you often have to switch between 1080i and 720 p for the correct picture settings.
Some broadcasts look better on a wide screen (16-by-9 ratio).
Others in standard 4 look betterby-3.
No matter what I do, other projects stay excessive

When you decide to add a DVR, the problem with this different format and different display is exacerbated (
Or "digital video recorder ")to the mix.
I received the DISH DVR 921 satellite receiver through the DISH Network service.
The unit is rather bulky and a bit noisy, but it allows to watch one show while recording another.
You can record more than hundred programs under the standard definition, in hi-def.
The DVR 921 allows you to arrange recording and access the program list, but these features are weak compared to the more powerful TIVO.
On the other hand, DirecTV provides DVR, HR-10-
250, with TIVO function.
This unit is very popular as it can record 200 hours of standard programming and more than 30 hours of HD and use my favorite TIVO tool to record.
With TIVO, I can always be sure that what I want to see is waiting for me.
Unfortunately, this unit obviously has this requirement and may take a while to provide it for you.
Maybe the equipment shortage caused me to receive a strange defective device, which requires a fairly constant unplugging and reset to work properly. (
I do get familiar with the help service hotline for DirecTV, but the unit is still not working properly! )
Still, I am in pain because I want my hd TV!
This reminds me of hi-
Def: It's not a hassle to make the whole experience workfree.
A variety of standards and formats, quirky hard
Disk drive and setup issues in DVRs are usually a tricky one.
It takes at least three remotes to get a decent experience from my settings, which seems ridiculous. (
One remote for TV, the other for satellite DVR, the third for audio system, for surround-sound. )Kind of nutty?
You got the picture.
Okay, the setup is painful.
But is hd TV worth it?
Yes, No.
Now that I have a few hd TV channels, I find that I hate watching old standard TV pictures very much.
Even with more than 500 channels, I often search for the same five or six HD channels, ignoring the rest.
In the past few months, I have seen at least ten times that the same sailing boat has broken off in an astonishing way on floating ice.
On the Discovery HD channel, even if each episode is almost the same, I will watch the repetition after repeating the person who made the motorcycle.
I was fascinated by the wonderful colors, clarity and resolution of these pictures, and I sat on the radio show showing the rain dripping from the jungle --
The leaves or snakes crawl over and over again.
The hd TV is attractive, but the program is still limited.
Unless, of course, you like sports.
I seldom watch football until hd TV.
Now, every quarterback sack seems to be very painful, every woman is at risk, every ss --
The fan's pot is a bit disgusting.
I used to love watching boxing on TV, but now there is not much romantic blood splash on hd TV.
You still can't go back.
So maybe there are five to ten hd TV channels to choose from ----
And repeat the original program. --
I think of the feeling of watching TV nearly 40 years ago: there are very few channels and choices you really want to watch.
This is ironic, especially when subscribing to each of the premium packages available.
Hd TV is so beautiful that on those endless standard channels it's almost impossible to go back and watch the dull, colorless, boring stuff.
Bose Lifestyle 48 home entertainment system for a momentary digress, a wonderful audio discovery I found while working on the hd TV universe.
Bose people have launched a new lifestyle 48 home entertainment system to try out. Why have a 56-
If you don't have a speaker, is there an amazing video on the inch screen?
Some enthusiasts (an ornery lot)
They wrote: "Take me as an idiot because I used to say something nice about Bose:" No Highs, no lows, it must be Bose . . . . . . ".
Well, I will incur their anger again, as the Bose Lifestyle 48 system is one of the coolest technical gems.
Of course, this elaborate unit plays dvd and cd and commands the small "gem cube" speakers and powerful "sound" modules that shock the apartment.
The clever thing about lifestyle 48 is that it stores, indexes, and plays almost the entire collection of music (about 300 CDs. )That the on-
The information of almost every disc is recorded, which is amazing.
But special software also allows listeners to point out what music is right for the moment, lifestyle 48 choose and play the changes you like.
Back in front of hd TV, I was hoping to demonstrate a series of home video recorders using hd TV standards.
I would like to know what home movies will look like using this technology.
Perhaps one of the reasons why HD TVs have been adopted for such an incredible time is that part of the reason is that electronics manufacturers are so late to market.
At present, only Sony has high-definition TV cameras for the consumer market. (
The price of $3,000 makes this very expensive and I don't want to go through the pain of borrowing one with limited supply. )
The shortage of consumer hd TV cameras may change soon.
At the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, several of these cameras may be announced by different manufacturers at higher prices. Hitachi DZ-
MV580 CameraHitachi kindly lent us a "near-DVD quality-HD
Cam and it make lovely images. The DZ-
MV580A camera record on Mini-DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs.
It's a bit difficult to find the stores that carry this disc, but they can be found if you search hard enough.
For example, recording on a DVD can guarantee a better image on a medium longer than a digital tape.
I can only record for half an hour per set, which makes me a little frustrated.
The price is about $650, which is very reasonable if you can find it in stock!
