The digital Imax system will open on July 15 on a screen at Imperial Theatre on King Street, downtown Cambridge.

Cinemas elsewhere in the area are already switching.
Leland said that the standard 35mm movie film transportation cost is very high, and the quality is quickly reduced in use.
The new digital projector can display more content than a movie.
"It opens up a world where other forms of entertainment can be introduced.
"We can perform all kinds of things at the live concert," he said . ".
Film producer and distributor nak is upset about the boom in the digital industry.
As a producer, he knows that numbers can reduce production costs, which means more movies will be made.
