Recent research has shown that basic computer input capabilities can greatly promote or hinder people's ability to generate ideas and solve problems correctly.

Digital paper and pen interface ,(3)
Tablet interface, and (4)
Graphical interface for tablet
10 correct inferences on average.
Compared with the tablet interface, the digital pen interface is 5% higher.
Further analysis shows that excessive generalization and redundancy errors are more common among people who use the tablet interface and perform poorly.
The implications of designing more effective computational thinking tools are discussed.
