A Professional Manufacturer of Smart Interactive Screens For More Than 10 Years
Imagine it's a hot summer with beer flowing and barbecues burning.
Then the bucket ran out.
This is the worst nightmare for everyone who drinks beer, the bartender and the owner.
But now, the binary beer technology invented by family winemaker Michael Burton and developed at the University of Wollongong may be a saving in the beer industry and a change in the rules of the game.
Mr Burton's equipment determines how much of a bucket of beer is left, how much temperature it has and how long it has left the brewery.
Mr. Burton said that one of the biggest problems he faced when he brewed his own beer was when they would be empty, something that often happens.
"So I started to create a solution," Mr. Burton said . "
He said the problem had an impact not only on domestic brewers, but also on a "global issue ".
Mr. Burton's simple equipment has begun to be rolled out globally, using sensors attached to buckets.
It can run on a normal battery for many years, long distance transmission.
"It tracks the temperature of the barrel, how long it will take at these temperatures, so that we can know how the product inside responds, how fast it will age, and the use of geographical positioning Mr Burton said.
Philip O'Shea of Wollongong's five-barrel brewing process
When he heard about the technology, it was like a meeting of ideas, he said.
"I have always been fascinated by technology and was able to apply the modern way of tracking barrels and their movements and related data to our brewery," Mr O'Shea said . ".
"In addition to knowing where our barrels are, it will provide us with data to see if they are treated correctly," he said, "Show us the temperature, this is a good indication of the quality and whether they are full to know when we should ship more barrels to the venue. ".
Binary beer is now in talks with some of the world's largest beer manufacturers, including Heineken and Anheuser beerBusch.
With the increase in hardcore craft beer lovers, the Australian creator said the innovation could make waves in the industry --wide.
"The buckets go through extreme temperatures and they are very cold in the fridge or when they are washed by boiling hot liquid they are broken and dropped," Mr Burton said . ".
For inland country hotels that are restricted by travel and access to goods, this innovation may also be revolutionary.
"In the craft beer industry, taphouse has a lot of kegs, and it can be very difficult to store them, and if the kegs have been there for a few months, from the point of view of the winemaker, they do not supply old age beers, he said his reputation was bad.
The idea has been realized through the intelligent infrastructure iAccelerate Digital Life Lab at Wollongong University, which helps entrepreneurs create innovative technologies.
"Everyone likes beer.
"I believe this will be a huge success," said Tanya Brown, CEO of smart infrastructure . ".
"Working with global partners like Amsterdam is a perfect environment for young entrepreneurs to test their products in their living environment and then bring it to the world. "Topics:food-and-
