On Tuesday, a kiosk providing information to the public about the Karnataka State Citizen Service Guarantee Act, commonly known as the Sakala program, was opened in the office of the Deputy Commissioner here.
The kiosk is set up by the Ministry of Personnel and Administrative Reform and software support is provided by the National Information Center.
The Kiosk is equipped with a personal computer system with an interactive touch screen.
Users can obtain information through kiosks on all 669 services provided by the state government under the Sakala program.
The information displayed on the computer display includes the method of filling out Sakala's application for service provision, the documents provided with the application, the contact information and time of the relevant authorities
The framework provided for the disposal of the application.
Users can even check the status of their app.

Ikkeri, who launched the kiosk, said Shivamogga ranked tenth in the list of regions implementing the Sakala program.
He said the district administration encouraged people to apply for services provided by rural development and Panchayat Raj, and the services provided by the revenue and social welfare department under the Sakala program to ensure a rapid response.
Deputy Commissioner Nagaraj also attended the meeting.
