knott\'s berry farm\'s new ride is \'mind-blowing\': here\'s a sneak peek - best interactive whiteboard

Opening a themed dark Tour in Disneyland and Hollywood Universal Studios backyard requires a lot of gut perseverance, but Nott's Berry Farm's new Iron Reef tour succeededtech shoot-em-
Interesting, creative and visually impressive attractions.
"We can't compete with Disney and Universal on budget," said Raffi Kaprelyan, vice president and general manager of Nott . ".
"But we can compete in the value of entertainment.

This summer, rival Six Flags will launch the Justice League Dark rides in two parks.
Since the price may be south of $10 million, the Iron Reef will inevitably be unfairly
Disney and Universal theme attractions for $100-Million budget.
The challenge for Nott is to create a compelling background story without identifiable characters from intellectual property such as "mean me" or "car.
"Bob Gurr, a legendary Disney imagist who made his debut at the Nott Theatre for the new attraction on Wednesday, said Iron Reef was the best interactive shot --em-
For 60 years in the theme park industry, he has never seen a dark trip.
"A lot of people will compare this trip to Disney's midway frenzy, which is a great trip," Gurr said . ".
"Norte has found a different way to do this, which is better and has a lower budget.
"Iron Reef immerse tourists in the underwater battle full of steampunk --
Determined to destroy the inspired marine life of Buena Park theme park.
New 4D interactive dark tour takes a long time
The neglected location of the park boardwalk was once home to two beloved dark rides: The bear of Nott --
Story and Kingdom of dinosaurs.
After climbing the stairs and starting an underwater trip, the rider fought a group of water troops with a frozen ray gun
A wide range of mechanical creatures appear on the video screen.
The visual effect is too mind.
It feels like you're diving deep into the ocean while repelling a bunch of terrible steampunk --
Inspiration for sea monsters.
I rode the Iron Reef four times on Wednesday and every time I found a new hidden treasure I didn't find it on my previous trip.
Once we turned a corner and I was fascinated by the animated bubbles that seemed to float through the room.
On another trip, I caught a glimpse of the evil Queen Kraken, dressed in a fog curtain, separating a pair of scenes.
The first few scenes in the journey are designed to introduce passengers to smaller creatures who live on underwater Nott coasters and thrilling rides.
Riders, wearing diving helmets, giant shrimp with red laser eyes, and scavenger crabs walking on hinge legs, shot at jellyfish.
An eel decorated with golden armor emerges from the cracks on the bottom of the sea.
Successfully targeting these creatures with a ray gun can cause them to crystallize and break into pieces.
Miss and freeze ray left a piece of ice on the screen.
The rotating gold medal that pops up regularly is worth the extra points.
Shooting further creatures is more valuable than shooting creatures at close range.
In the middle of the journey, we met the steampunk blowfish that shot us.
Team work and multiple shots are needed to make them explode.
Although the floating Navy mines are interesting to explode, they are a happy transfer and won't do you any good.
At the corner of the next screen, an armored octopus grabs our driving vehicle and pulls us deeper into the abyss of water.
Shooting at the end of his paw.
Just like the tentacles will stick up and eventually destroy the inkspurting beast.
Through the chimney of a shipwreck on the bottom of the sea, we navigate a series of compartments on board before entering Kraken Queen, who seems to jump from screen to screen.
The ride consists of 11 sometimes curved, sometimes concave video screens that include an impressive pair of seamless screens that look like an extension of 150 feet when our ride vehicle crawls past.
For fun, I rode Iron Reef with Nott's GM Raffi Kaprelyan and Nott's creative director, Lara Hanneman.
As we all know, Kaprelyan suppressed the Thunder guns of other players, and he kept his current high score among his colleagues.
Hannyman, a self. described non-
Players tend to focus more on scenery than on points.
As a person who is naturally competitive, I am painfully saying that Kaprelyan easily defeated me --
It's probably easy for me.
He scored 159,100 higher than all his scores.
Best time of 192,000.
I sat on the second one for 112,100, while hannyman sat on the third one for 82,000.
The challenge for Nott will be to keep the projection technology and keep the image clear.
Capacity may also be a problem during the summer season.
The biggest blow to the Iron Reef is that it is not a classic dark tour decorated with gorgeous scenes and animated characters.
But, while it makes me sad to say it, I gradually realize that in today's modern video these prosperity are unnecessary and redundant --game-Rides like dark.
Although there are a few nice mini-rocks
Scenes between screens
I especially like the wreck under Navy mines.
The riders largely ignored them and were anxiously looking forward to the next quickfire round.
Ernest Yale, president of Triotech, said: "People like the interactive aspect of riding . " His Montreal-
Headquartered in Iron Reef design.
"It takes 10 seconds to understand, which is a 4 minute fun without interruption.
"Triotech's partial promotion of Cedar Expo and Nott is that the Iron Reef will change and evolve over time. The computer-
The generated images can be updated with the latest advances in technology, and the background can change with the flip of the switch.
That average blue. and-
The bronze car can be a submarine, a spaceship, or a post carriage.
The bottom line is that if it weren't for the entire theme park industry, Iron Reef would change the rules of the game at Cedar Expo.
If the Iron Reef succeeds at Nott, I suspect it will, and other parks in the amusement park chain will get their own version of the Triotech dark rides in the near future.
One of my favorite things about the Iron Reef is that this is not what you expect of Nott --
But it fits well in the park.
Nott has the courage to try something different, and I applaud them for boldly accepting Disney and commonalities in the theme park world.
