Portland, Maine-on an e-message board in Maine, drivers may have issued warnings about zombies, but city officials don't find it funny.
The sign of the Portland road construction site was changed by a hacker to "there is a zombie warning ahead!
"Wednesday morning.
It turned out to be "Eight o'clock P. M. in the evening-6 am. Expect delays.
Nicole Clegg, the city's spokeswoman, said the signs were a safety precaution that could distract drivers by changing it.
She told the Portland Herald.
Tampering with a security device is a minor offence, punishable by up to one year in prison and a fine of $1,000.
It's not clear who changed the logo, she said, but it's not the first time it happened.
