Court documents said a judge on Thursday ordered mediation of all parties wishing to obtain a video showing the death of a SeaWorld coach.
Florida Circuit Judge Lawrence Kirkwood last week approved a temporary ban on the video taken at SeaWorld, Orlando, Florida on February 24.
It is unclear how long the ban will last.
The 40-year-old coach, Dawn Brancheau, is interacting with a Humby whale named Tilikum, who grabs her ponytail and pulls her underwater in front of the shocked onlookers at the Shamu Stadium
Authorities say she died from multiple wounds and drowning.
Jon Mills, a lawyer for the Brancheau family, believes that their privacy rights outweigh other concerns.
"The potential harm to this family is very serious," Mills said . ".
"There is no constitutional right to peek, and there is also a constitutional right to privacy, and the court is asked to balance those rights.
"CNN affiliate WKMGCourt mediation's report will weigh privacy issues against the public's right to know under Florida law.
A court document said a potential agreement during the mediation could allow both parties to the case to watch the video, but there was no copy of the video.
The time required by the parties concerned to participate in mediation is up to April 5.
No date was set for mediation.
Orlando Sentinel, Tampa Tribune, Lakeland Ledger and WFLA-
Television has been filed.
Part of the incident last month was taken on two cameras in the park. -
According to family complaints, one looks at the scenery from underwater and the other from the Sky Tower of the park.
"The underwater view was not shown to the lady.
She did not leave until after she entered the water.
"It was not until after the incident that the camera on the top of the head was pointed at the scene," the complaint said . ".
"It is important that neither camera shows what happened before and at the moment including the Lady
Brancheau was dragged into the water without any knowledge of the cause of this tragic incident.
Brancheau's family filed a complaint against the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the District 9 forensic office, which owns the video.
SeaWorld and Entertainment joined the lawsuit filed by the Brancheau family.
"This is a video of someone dying," Mills said last week . ".
"Apart from what a tragic, terrible, traumatic attack this is, there's nothing you can learn from the video.
"A lawyer from the sheriff's office said that it did not take a position on any video release, but that it needed to keep a copy so that its case file was complete.
