microsoft pushing touch ultrabooks for windows 8 - touch screen kit for laptop
According to Digitimes, Microsoft is pushing Ultrabook manufacturers to change their designs in order to better use them with Windows 8.
The new operating system will feature a "Metro" user interface designed with a large button icon that can be used with a touch screen.
This is a major change in Microsoft's flagship operating system, a confusing change for some.
Since ultrabook is very thin, it can be tricky to use their screens as a touch interface, as the screens swing with each stamp.
To solve the problem, digitimes's anonymous source said Microsoft suggested that Ultrabook manufacturers consider alternative designs for laptops.
