Two years after a tornado hit Lawfield Middle School, a whirlwind of positive energy hit Dongshan, damaging it and failing to repair it.

The art school opened yesterday to 550 students who have been displaced since the November tornado. 9, 2005.
The event even changed the name of the school team. -

The first line of hope of how the tornado forced the construction of a new school did not disappear on Jeff Scott and Diane Hofer.
The two were guiding the men's volleyball in the upper and lower grades at the school gymnasium when the storm blew out the windows and the rain smashed the broken glass on them and threw the curtain rods and curtains around.
The two boys were slightly injured in the tornado, the team was shaken, the entire school community and community were shocked by the power of the tornado, which tore the roof of the house and cut down trees, turn over the shed and the trailer.
Now Scott and Hofer are looking forward to a game in their ultra-modern gym.
As the school is back near again, they are also looking forward to seeing the audience again.
The two teachers recalled the tornado on each anniversary.
"We joked that we had a fascinating time," Hofer said . ".
Coming out of adversity is a champion volleyball team and a new modern technology team. savvy school --
People without blackboard and chalk have a difficult learning environment and poor sound effect.
The blackboard has been replaced by a whiteboard that has been asked to write a marker on it and a superboard with a huge computer screen.
The microphone pendant on the teacher's neck spreads the sound through a surround sound so that every student in the classroom can hear each word clearly.
The road to the new school is not easy.
The students recalled the lack of heat at the old Seneca School and were not transferred there until the new school was ready. Open-
The concept classroom in the pod is hard to hear.
8 th grade student Courtney Breth recalls how the tornado sent her brother Simon to the hospital that day, how she cried and did not know how much he was injured.
Fortunately, he only needs four stitches to close the head wound along the line.
"It's strange," she said, looking back at the picture.
"Everything was torn up.
It almost hit our house. . .
Across the street, the roof was torn off.
It's scary.
"She loves her new school, especially the giant computer screen called the Smart motherboard.
"It's fun to learn.
"Courtney was able to walk to school again so she didn't have to face the crowded bus, which gave her a sigh of relief.
Classmate Adam Stanekovic is not interested in the name change from Lancaster to tornado, but he says "it's a whole new start.
Courtney agreed.
"Like, forget what happened.
Think about the new one.
Don't think it's negative.
Think about the positive side.
"For two months after the tornado hit, Bill dermere has been the principal.
Everyone in the school was happy, he said, "We finally got home.
It is important for us to return to our community.
We have more contact with our parents.
"It's been a long two years," he said.
