INDIANAPOLIS-NFL canceled the church's plan to display the pony using a wall projector.

NFL officials last week saw publicity on the church's website for the Fall Creek Baptist Church "Super Bowl Carnival" and wrote a letter to the priest asking for the party to be canceled.

Newland said he told the NFL that his church would not charge anyone and would stop using the ban.
But the NFL objected to the church's plan to use projectors to show off the game, saying the law limited a TV that was no more than 55 inch.
The church may abandon its plan to host a Super Bowl party.
"We want to support our local team," Newland said . ".
"For us, it doesn't make sense to have all our congregation crowded around a TV that only 10 or 12 people can watch.

"That's why there's no plan to have a massive viewing in a large arena like RCA Dome or Conseco fields House.
Newland says his church will not break the law.
"What's frustrating to me is that most of the crowd gathered to watch the game will be filled with alcohol and other things that are not suitable for children," Newland said.
"We tried to provide an alternative but were shut down.
"Other Indiana churches say they are deciding whether to complete their Super Bowl party plan, given the NFL's position.
