nintendo 3ds: we\'ve got one! - touch screen head unit

Nintendo's Dragon
The long-awaited 3DS made its debut in Japan on Saturday, but we managed to get one in Hong Kong a few days ago.
As a successor to the very popular Nintendo DS, it has a lot to remember, but I bet you just want to know one thing: does it work?
Can 3D really be provided without glasses?
Short answer: yes.
The answer is long: Yes, but it can be frustrating.
Only the top screen is 3D on the 3DS and you need to put it in the right place to get it to work.
When it works
This is an amazing sight.
The screen suddenly has a depth.
Looks like you're looking at the room outside the screen.
The 3D effect is remarkable when it works.
Unfortunately, it's easy to break the illusion.
Moving the 3DS out of the sweet spot turns the screen into a blurry grid consisting of two separate images that overlap with each other.
This sweet spot is small enough that it is not recommended to play on mobile vehicles unless you turn off 3D completely.
The 3DS has a slider that allows you to adjust the depth of your 3D image and you'll find yourself fiddling with it a lot because each game seems to use a different setting.
What looks great about one game is the dizzying mess of the other.
Even small things like dust on the screen can pull you out of the 3D effect very quickly.
This is not for everyone, though.
One of my writers can't accept it.
She looked at the screen and retreated in horror, saying it made her dizzy and sick.
Still, when it works, the effect it brings to the table is amazing.
The first round of the Japanese 3DS game didn't really use 3D for anything too deep (No pun intended);
It's great to see the track stretch in front of you in Ridge Racer 3D, but it's almost indispensable for the experience.
The limitations of the hardware are exposed when 3D is turned off: this is an ugly game, but you are too busy marveling at the depth of the screen to notice.
Considering that the cost of the 3DS is lower than the 3D camera dedicated to Fujifilm, it is a surprise to include its own 3D camera. It’s not great;
If an object is too close or too far away, it is easy to confuse, but it is good to have it as an extra thing.
What is disappointing about the hardware is the traditional connection with the DS platform.
The bottom touch screen uses the same resistance technology as the original DS.
Since then, the iPhone has completely changed the way we interact with the touch screen, using a stylus on a 3DS screen feels like using a PDA from 1990.
The resolution of this screen is only 320 × 240, which is far lower than the resolution of most smartphones at present.
Size comparison: DSi (top)and 3DS (bottom)
But the touch screen is not the focus of 3DS.
You should look at the 3D screen at the top instead of the small screen at the bottom.
I spend a lot of time watching people play 3DS for the first time today, and this is a common reaction:-indifference/doubt: "What's cool about this thing? Let’s see it.
I bet it doesn't work.
"I can't see it . "
I have to adjust it before I get to the right position?
I think I can do that, but I can't see it, I bet. . .
-Curious: "Wow.
It's really 3D!
In this simple sense, the Nintendo 3DS offers.
Now we're waiting for developers to take advantage of the 3D effects, not just an extra gimmick.
Has anyone noticed that every sentence in this review shows the 3DS in some way?
I 've read a bunch of other reviews that say 3D is fine, as long as you don't play for a long time and won't hurt your eyes, the camera and touch screen work fine, etc.
This article is only part of BS.
The article is rather inaccurate.
First of all, 3d works in the position where the depth slider is located, and the depth slider is looking for a comfortable 3d level and a place I really like.
Also don't judge the power of the system on ride racer, it's just a lazy attempt at the game.
Try playing Metal Gear on it, it has very good graphics.
In addition, the thermal sensation touch screen on the iphone is not suitable for the game because you block the screen with your fingers and it is not very accurate.
Well, I believe 3DS has more advantages than disadvantages here in order to get the proper status here.
New games, interactive features, online features, etc.
I'm happy with the optional 3D as there are some effects people will have when they watch it.
I have heard many other reports about the ease of maintenance of sweet spots.
The resistor touch screen is not a problem for me, it's okay.
I 've played on Apple devices and it's good for them, but the 3DS is good.
The touch screen doesn't have that much focus appeal compared to the first DS because most people will see a wide 3D screen.
All in all, I know I'll be happy when I pick up my phone on launch day.
Congrats CNN you got the Nintendo 3DS!
The real fast Ridge racing is a port of an old iphone game that doesn't even take advantage of the power of the 3ds's system to find the inhabitants evil revelation and see what it can do. Working Nintendo DS otalumer Pokemon rom (
Like diamonds, platinum, etc)?
I am looking for a good otalumer for Nintendo DS and Pokemon Platinum rom. . (
The others are OK, but I prefer that one.
I try to download some but they don't work. .
Just like I haven't tried GBA, everything is OK, but I can't save the game in any way or save the game with the idea that the sound doesn't work. .
Thank you, you obviously don't know much about the game.
The stylus can be controlled precisely, and on the other hand, a chubby big fingertip will blur the screen, making it more difficult for what you want to do, and leaving greasy fingerprints on the screen.
There are more beautiful games than Ridge Racer. . . .
Did Ign pay you to sneak this?
I just want to know that 3ds has/does annoy you. . . .
Nintendo's defense forces are coming. look down here. . . .
There are a lot of articles about sweet spots, and there are a lot of articles about eye fatigue, and the effect of losing it in an hour or so is amazing.
I have a reservation, I like my DS, but I can already judge by what is said, most people will play with this sucker with 3D off, who wants to keep the machine in one place and constantly readjust?
It seems to be annoying.
Nintendo should focus on features and power instead of another stupid gimmick.
Why don't you all calm down, it's so stupid. The first of everything has a bunch of flaws. Anyway, what's the point of buying 1 generation, for all of you, he'll be the same person as you who looks at kinect and says they rip the wii and calm down, waiting for all the stupid New 3ds, if you really want to marvel at something new, will they end up making the psp that the ps3 quality can play with: the game or at least close enough to the handheld device, for Bob, take your ball off the floor. Dude ridge racer may be bigger than you, not the port on the iphone to figure out how to use 3D: depth slider. Bad reviewsGood review.
While you are a big fan of Nintendo, it's a pleasure for you to tell us the weaknesses of this device. Thanks!
Don't worry about all these negative comments from CNN are from Nintendo slaves and they continue to think that everything they do is good (
It was until the Wii).
Here's my complaint: 3-
Battery life is 5 hours.
Bad enough, but really bad for hand rehabilitation.
It's not bad not to be able to play for more than an hour unless you want a headache.
Bad title posting.
The sweet things are also not good.
And of course there's a simulation stick.
Every time I play FPS on my old Dreamcast, I groan and if you mention fps controls and Dreamcast at the same time, you never seem to have played ds. . .
How do I get the Nintendo DS rom to work?
I downloaded it to Winrar (because its a . rar file)
It looks like its broekn is turned into a different part to end. nds.
Does anyone know how I can get the rom to work?
I have never really used Winrar before.
Sony did rip off Nintendo.
In the late days of Super Nintendo, in the Sega CD era, Nintendo's wnetnad had something similar.
They worked with Sony to make a CD for Super Nintendo.
This has never been implemented since Nintendo 64 is about to be released.
Sony kept the prototype, modified the controller to avoid litigation, added two extra buttons and added those pointless plastic stuff that kept my palm in an hour
Even check the contoller port! -
SG "turns off 3D and reveals the limitations of the hardware ". . .
Dear, judge from an early game. . .
The article is indeed a joke, and every line it writes is constantly being insulted. It`s nice. . . oh its not. . .
Good, but wait. . . . . . . no it`s not.
Interestingly, CNN has been praising American products such as Xbox Connect and Iphone, while constantly criticizing non-
S. success in Europe, China, India and other countries.
It's better to have a group of kids Wright write an article about the Nintendo 3Ds and you'll have a better idea of the new product.
Everyone has something they want to buy and play with Nintendo, and so does Sony, so don't touch it.
In addition to the perfect 3d Nintendo can. Good review.
Not surprised, but still a little disappointed.
I feel that most of the issues I pointed out are not issues that some of the comment suggested "gen 2" or "gen 3" can easily be addressed.
Common sense is that vendors typically make compatibility a top priority as the console improves.
In most cases, they make things smaller, thinner, and sometimes bigger (DSi XL)
, Maybe have more powerful batteries, but don't touch anything like RAM, processor, etc.
3D screen is limited by immature glass
Free 3D technology.
No matter what kind of screen Nintendo replaces it with, the "sweet spot" problem always exists.
The sweet spot can get bigger, but the dust stains and dizziness problems will stay.
Hardware power supply.
This will never change.
Any minor boost will lead to an improvement in future game development standards, making early units useless for new games.
The resistance screen is a nasty surprise.
Let's face it: DS touch-
Science-based games have never beenaccuracy.
What did the stylus do on the DS screen, and now the fat finger is definitely able to be in (
It is said that the size is much larger)3DS screen.
How Nintendo decided to keep the touch screen tiny, which I can't imagine, it's not as expensive as they are.
Now they have to stick to the stylus that needs a resistor screen.
I don't think this will change either gen 2 or gen 8.
From small resistance to large capacity, it will inevitably change the nature of the game and cause compatibility problems.
By the way, "finger blocking screen" is not a problem at all on 3DS.
In the DS era, the bottom screen is mainly used as a temporary control panel, and the real excitement happens on the screen above.
Stop anything you want and you'll get along well unless the game itself is badly designed.
Hopefully the Nintendo 3DS will be a better product than the news industry.
The analysis is not good and the writing is not good.
Can CNN please ask a real player to review the 3DS? Serisuloy! ?
You are bashing 3ds because you have to do something?
I will never watch cnn again.
You are too stupid to readjust this thing!
By the way, timiothey, have you heard of Super Mario Galaxy?
You are all losers.
I stick to g4.
Oh, I forgot to mention something: Nintendo, don't listen to cnn.
Therir is just a smart monster who has never played video games in life.
"The screen runs at a weak resolution of 320x240" and so on, what?
The top screen runs at a resolution of 800x240, 400 pixels per eye.
Interestingly, the writer has just slammed the resistive touch screen on the 3DS, a thoughtful choice for designers.
This is not because the 3DS technology is too low, or it is too cheap to use the "old" technology, but because it is practical.
Would you like to apply touch screen with grease and finger print?
Yes, don't give a completely glowing review of Nintendo, and then all the fans climb out of the drain and scream for your head.
This is a good overview, giving two aspects of the 3DS and showing that there is a lot of potential for the system when the developers go all out.
I don't really appreciate CNN's comments at all.
If you want a comment, wait for it to go public in the US.
CNN is also not a trusted source for video game console reviews.
They will constantly attack products that we all know are not good compared to other gadgets hardware, but the core is our experience with Nintendo products.
I don't know all of you, but I 've been a player since the NES came out and I have to say Nintendo has been bringing a pleasant/fun experience to their game.
What they don't mention is that 3D works for most people, but if you have a lazy eye or smug eye or just miss an eye, you may
Those who conduct the review and those who have witnessed the use of hardware may have one of these conditions.
It's my 2 cents.
Cuanto cuesta of Chinese 3ds?
