A Professional Manufacturer of Smart Interactive Screens For More Than 10 Years
If you are a fan of Bond movies, you will certainly enjoy some of the sophisticated gadgets as well.
Do you want to add a little bit to your personal life? Karthika S.
Anbu Selvan and Edson Frainler, students at Chennai DMI School of Engineering, have developed a gadget
Intelligent mirror environment control (SMAC)—
This can completely change the way you "see" yourself because there are so many objects around us that are "smart" and why do we think there is no smart mirror? Said Karthika.
"In our tight schedule, we usually attend as many events as we can.
In order to manage things efficiently, we have to deal with multiple tasks at the same time.
"For example, I saw my father watch TV while shaving," she explained . ".
"Smart mirrors come in from here.
Although it looks like a mirror, it can do more.
If you want to tie a bow and don't know how to tie it, the mirror can play a video clip that will show you the process.
"The best thing is that you can still see your reflections when the video is played," Karthika said . ".
Mirror recognition performs 30 different voice commands for different functions.
In the future, the number of voice commands can be increased according to demand.
Currently it shows the date, time, map, News Feed and traffic and weather information etc.
"The way we design smart mirrors is that depending on a person's facial structure, it can suggest different hairstyles, beards, etc.
"People can also listen to music while taking a shower and watch videos, comics and TV shows," explains Edson . ".
It took three months to finish the project.
"We have been studying for two years and want to do so since the second year.
"We looked into other smart mirrors to check how we made our products unique," he added . ".
People will naturally wonder, wouldn't smart mirrors be like tablets?
"When designing this product, we did not consider the tablet.
"Our goal is to look at how to make an existing mirror, intelligence," Anbu said . ".
These young inventors have applied for a patent and hope to get it soon.
Speaking about their plans for the future, Anbu said, "We plan to set up a startup to develop other innovative products.
We also plan to release it on Kickstarter.
