This is the beauty of the digital pen system that Moleskine first launched in 2016 and improved a year later.

Power the pen ellipse and charge it for five hours.
Connect it to a copy of Adobe Illustrator via Bluetooth and you can immediately see the shape of the sketch on the screen.
It's a great system for designers who prefer handwritten ideas rather than using digital drawing tablets.
The secret is on the notebook.
The page looks blank but actually contains a micro
Allows the pen to know exactly the dot pattern of the position on the page you are writing.
It then transmits this information to the computer.
I tested the system at an event this week and the results showed up immediately.
No one waiting in line.
The top of each notebook page includes two icons that you can click with a pen while working.
One can save your work so you don't have to walk back and forth between your laptop and your computer.
The other is to turn the pen on and off in case you want to make a note of something that shouldn't appear in your screen notes.
