More than a dozen miniature cameras are installed on police because it is considering the use of this technology to document everything that happens at the crime scene.
Commissioner Charles Ramsey said that if an officer was complained, the camera could provide evidence, despite state eavesdropping laws prohibiting recording.
The camera can be mounted on the officer's glasses, hat or collar.
But Ramsey told the Philadelphia Daily News that cameras are expensive. -
