Samsung and Israeli startup Mybitat announced on Tuesday plans to jointly develop innovative smart home solutions designed to help older people stay safe at home.

In a statement, they said the goal is to give older people greater flexibility in controlling their living environment.
Using Mybitat's analytical tools, along with the new sensors and smart algorithms developed by Samsung, the end product will be able to identify changes in customer behavior or health, and even alert remote caregivers if assistance is needed.
These companies plan to provide technology that allows them to live in their homes safely and more independently, thereby improving the quality of life of individuals.
The solution is designed to easily change the home environment and is tailored for an aging baby boomers or their independent parents.
