A fifth-grade student at Walshestown National School won the first prize in the local history program at the Louth County Museum competition.
Orla Molloy chose Glebe at Grangebellew to study the Rath cemetery for her project.
Each contestant was asked to investigate a local landmark, study it, and present the information in the form of a project.
Orla studied the history of the cemetery and the nearby Fort Linburg, and studied all the sites.
She showed her project on hard copy and music power.
Orla won the first prize and won the state-of-the-art canon camera for himself, and the laptop and projector for the school.
