Classic Labor DayThe fun begins.
Some say the season has started.
I'm lucky-
Most of the fans of both teams say my term is unfortunate.
As general manager of classic Saskatchewan rough and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Since booing was a hot topic in Bomberland last week, I should be proud to note that I was booed in both cities (
Regina and Winnipeg)
As the host and the visiting executive.
In the history of this great competition, who else can say no one!
This weekend brings extra excitement to the fans and the team.
Sunday's match at the Mosaic Stadium was more than just another one.
It's really mini. Grey Cup.
Strength and electricity are second to none.
There will be no difference in this year's competition as tourists try to snap two photos
Losing streak and hosts are trying to expand their winning streak to three games, creating some distance in the standings.
As a blue bomber entering the old mosaic, regardless of the team's record, it is a daunting task.
I remember in 2002, when we-
"We" are bombers so start booing again
Facing rough workers on the 14 th
Rocky Butler, string quarterback!
I mean, why can't we win?
Butler ran three touchdowns and we lost, 33-19.
In 2007 games, the draw for the famous Kerry Joseph quarterback ended, 31-26 victory.
And then right-
Stop "what a great call, what a great drama, what a great run, what a great victory . . . . . . "I might add that it was all led by Rob Van Stone who was as disgusting as usual
Yeah, yeah . . . . . . Who remembers the driver I was tortured by Derek Armstrong in that game, James Johnson.
Armstrong received the ball 13 times in 205 yards and two touchdowns.
Next November, the great James Johnson was busy making two (yes, two! )
Interception in a gray Cup
The "intercept" He took back for the "touchdown score" was actually a trap, but I was not in pain and complained.
Let's go to the other side.
When I was with the riders, we obviously won more games than we lost on Labor Day weekend --
Yes, even if I am a GM.
One year we beat Winnipeg in the game and I thought, "Let's send a text message to my old players to see how they are doing in the East --side sun.
I sent an innocent enough text message to an anonymous bomber staff member: "Geithner said hi.
"I looked at it with a smirk and noticed that the recipient looked at his mobile phone and started typing.
Now keep in mind that we are 30 or 40 points ahead so it's time to say hello.
The answer is impossible, I think. Oh, I got one.
Reply: "The one who kicked the rodent (blank), (bleep), (censored), (%$@! )
"I don't think he accepted it very well.
I strolled over and looked for Geer, who was right next to us.
"The bomber sent you a message," I said to the hamster.
"I should have kicked you (blank), (bleep), (censored), (%$@! )
"An unimpressed Geena answered an answer that was not suitable for printing --
Like a Vanstone pillar.
I just want to say that the attacker lost the game, just talking about the increase.
The bomber was red in 2011.
Enter the classic heat.
We riders are ice. cold —
But it changed quickly.
After changing the coach, the rough men swept the Blue Bombers and won the Labor Day Classic and Banjo Bowl.
Winnipeg did very well that season, but not in those two games.
This is a good example of what will happen during the Labor Day weekend in Regina.
I might add that it's not just in this area.
As a tourist visiting Banjo Bowl with 2009 roughers, a very restless bomber enthusiast hit me with this gem
Winnipeg quarterback Brian Randall who received the mop
On duty in the fourth quarter.
"Thank you for bringing Randall, Taman . . . . . . You idiot!
My admirers said kindly.
"He is uglier than you, but you may be better than him!
"This guy either doesn't like me or is not very friendly to the Mike Kelly era in Winnipeg. Or both.
You know the game is fun as a fan.
Believe me, the joke on the bench is just as interesting.
I remember bomber killer Troy Westwood wrote derogatory messages on the whiteboard and then turned around to faithfully express his emotions to the rider behind the Winnipeg bench.
I will never understand why the riders don't like him.
Or, do you remember Darian Durant berating Bomber fans sitting behind the bench as we easily won the 2011 banjo bowling match? These stories will never be forgotten by you.
These games make the CFL so good and so fun to be a part of it.
