A Professional Manufacturer of Smart Interactive Screens For More Than 10 Years
In our holiday gift guide, let's take a look at home entertainment first.
Take a look at our weekend overtime, and I worked with our art editor Francois Marzanne to compare video streaming options.
In this week's tech toy, I tried a new curved TV and checked out some options to add streaming entertainment to the home system.
Let's start with set-top boxes and other gadgets that allow you to stream content to your TV, even if it's not a smart TV.
Google Chromecast 2 has a lot of options here and it's not a good, better, best option
But maybe which one fits your budget best.
Not only can you watch movies, TV shows and other video entertainment, you can also watch games and music without spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on new smart TVs.
Google's latest Chromecast, which costs $45, plugs it into the HDMI port of a high-definition TV, and the little colored Puck will offer streaming video and audio media.
To operate it, you need to install an app on your Android or iOS mobile device or run it through your PC, Mac or Chromebook.
There is no screen interface, and there are no controls on the device.
However, it gives you access to a long list of apps and services including Shomi, Netflix, and many other apps and services.
Roku 3 Roku offers competition for Apple TV in the set-top box division, and the $110 Roku 3 has many features that make it a great choice, especially in this price range.
It has an updated remote control on Roku 2.
You can access everything from Netflix, YouTube to music services. It has a voice-
Activate search, you can search for content-
Everything from movie titles to actors
All applications.
Also, you can now plug a pair of headphones into the jack on the remote so you can play music or stay up late to watch zombie movies without keeping others awake.
It's been a while since Apple TVApple TV, but now there's a new, recent
The fourth generation of Apple TV was released.
The latest one looks a lot like its predecessor, but Apple TV has gone through a lot of changes, most notably its new operating system, tvOS.
This is also important for fans of mobile games, and developers will be able to transfer game apps written for iPad and iPhone to Apple TV.
The remote control has been completely converted to double the game controller.
Its glass touch surface allows you to browse the movie
Just like the scrolling, selection, and navigation we're used to on the touch screen.
Apple's voice assistant Siri has also launched the product.
Siri lets you search in many apps, and you can also ask her general questions like "find a comedy ".
The new Apple TV does not support 4 k.
The third-generation Apple TV, which costs $89, is now available.
The new one is $199 for 32 gb and $269 for 64 gb.
Samsung 4 k curved suhd tvi has 1080 p, 55-
So when I get a chance to try Samsung's 65-inch hd TV
Inch Curved suhd TV, this is an obvious difference.
After watching it for a while, when it came to TV, I decided that the bend was new black.
This immersive feeling also benefits from the fact that Samsung is more suitable for the room.
TV sizes at different distances can be surprising.
Our best viewing distance of 55-
The 5-inch TV is probably-and-a-half feet (
Depending on THX, how much depends on the distance calculator you use)
And I wouldn't sit that close.
I do find, though, that sitting on both sides with angles, the picture is better on the edge than on the tablet.
Ultra HD represents ultra high definition.
SUHD is not Ultra HD, but S is an identifier, just like S in the Samsung Gear S2 watch.
Regardless of size, the curved SUHD is small and elegant, and it uses a connecting box from Samsung to plug in the TV instead of having a lot of input on the TV itself.
A connection box contains all inputs.
It can be hidden, and you won't crawl behind the TV to plug in.
Not a streaming gadget, but a useful tool to access the media you have, whether it's movies, TV shows, photos or other items.
It's like having your own personal cloud where you can save everything and access it from your mobile device or computer without having to overload your device with files.
This is a free model, a free version, a premium version of $5 a month, $40 a year, $150 a lifetime.
It works with new Apple TV, Roku and other streaming devices.
