tech toys: guide to streaming players and smart tvs - touch screen definition

In this week's tech toy, I tried a new curved TV and checked out some options to add streaming entertainment to the home system.
Let's start with set-top boxes and other gadgets that allow you to stream content to your TV, even if it's not a smart TV.

Roku 3 Roku offers competition for Apple TV in the set-top box division, and the $110 Roku 3 has many features that make it a great choice, especially in this price range.

The latest one looks a lot like its predecessor, but Apple TV has gone through a lot of changes, most notably its new operating system, tvOS.
This is also important for fans of mobile games, and developers will be able to transfer game apps written for iPad and iPhone to Apple TV.
