Old Jarrod Wardell wanted to work in engineering and coding, but he didn't know there was more than one indigenous language until he walked into the Hall of the Six Nations Institute of Technology (SNP)

Chevy Johnson, 14, is not interested in a technical career, but wants to be a midwife.
She spoke a few Cayuga at home and she expected to follow her aunt's footsteps one day to become a tribal mother.
Nolan Jon spoke some Mohawk at home and he followed his friend to steam, but he said he was very interested in the technology he was learning to use.
This is three of the top 33 ninth grade students from the Scottish National Party Blantford campus innovative technology, engineering, art and mathematics program, which will be arts, technology and haudensfield uné
STEAM represents science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.
Waddle, Johnson and Jon all came to the school in different ways, but they were enthusiastic that they would recommend a "unique, friendly and happy" environment to any student.
Starting from grade 10, students will start learning double
Credit High School and Mohawk College courses, allowing them to obtain a high school diploma and a diploma from the School of Software Engineering technicians after five years.
STEAM's principal, Aaron Hobbs, said they wanted to start from an early age so they could get used to it, but since the fall, 107 new ninth graders are already interested in them.
The school is located at 411 Elkin Street.
On the city's former Mohawk College campus, there are five faculty members this year, but it is expected to more than double next year, including an additional counselor and Mohawk language teacher.
This is a supplement to the Cayuga language class attended by all Grade 9 students this semester.
"At first, I thought people were not sure if the school would continue," Wardell said . ".
"But now the parents say, 'Oh, this might be a good idea.
"The students have access to the dog --

Often leave school for a natural walk or other trip, including a visit to IBM.
"This is part of our larger vision of things and is to make the school a truly comprehensive and safe place for students to come in and really feel at home," said Hobbs . ".
This includes looking for employees who are not only qualified, but also "suitable.
"The students have PE classes at a private facility and there is a huge gym and gym next door.
Here, five STEAM college students received weightlifting training and were eligible for the World Championships held in Orlando, Florida in November.
The students had a technical class in the first semester, but the use of technology was also integrated into the life of the students.
Teenagers have personal laptops, classrooms are equipped with smart boards, and schools use an online program called Brightspace to list all their classes for parents to check in.
They use QR codes in class, including Shakespeare's treasure hunt in school English classes.
Students can use 3D printers, virtual reality and Wacom tablets.
The first students had different backgrounds.
It comes from about six countries and the rest from Brantford and the surrounding communities.
The ratio of boys to girls is about 60 to 40.
"Everyone is talking about the word reconciliation, but the school is very open to everyone," Hobbs said . ".
It's also important to focus on art --
Steam is not just a stem.
"We really think creativity is important to a well"
Hobbs said education is comprehensive.
But the foundation of the school is respect for local culture.
"We really hope that this school is based on the culture of the haudengren unee, which is really the ultimate work that makes this school unique," Hobbs said . ".
"These technologies are very important for the whole project, (it's)
