Imagine that you are a photographer who carefully edits and submits what you want to be the eye
Before picking the judges, capture photos on a table covered with thousands of equally impressive photos.
After the ballot papers were counted, only 60 of the 5,400 photos submitted by more than 2,000 photographers were selected as the final exhibition.
You're not one of them either.
The work seems to be in vain, right?
Well, enter the Portrait Salon, a form of a rejected salon, an exhibition of works rejected by the jury art exhibition first conceived in Paris in the 19 th century.

Jenkins created the portrait salon in 2011 to showcase the best images rejected in the Taylor withing Portrait Award, a highly regarded annual exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London, it received thousands of submissions from around the world.
However, there is actually only a small percentage of submissions selected for final selection.
There seems to be a reason to think that there must be some gems in thousands of rejected photos, so why not give them a shining platform?
"The concept behind the Portrait Salon is to provide exposure and opportunity for more photographers, and to question the location of the Taylor withing award as a reflection of contemporary portraits," combined with the Portrait Salon
Founder Jenkins said in sight.
Jenkins and Evans decided to create a portrait salon after finding out that their work was rejected by the Taylor withing award for a year.
The two quickly found other disgruntled photographers who expressed their disappointment on Twitter.
"We all realized that only 1% of the images went into the Taylor withing exhibition and there must have been some great works that were rejected and worth a look," Jenkins said.

Who selected 70 photos from 1,700 submissions for display.
It is now 4 years and the organization will present its new publications for the first time in a print exhibition in London in November and win the portrait selection. 6, 2014.
Over the past few years, these images have been shown through the slide machine.
