But she did leave the theater to do TV commercials.
She said she is now 56 years old and has not completely disappeared.

One of the many anecdotes, after weeks or even months of reporting, often falls on the floor of the cutting room.
Also unpublished are anecdotes of how we do this as journalists, which often requires us to subtly ask people to reveal --and trust us —

We asked before the event. Kantor, Ms. Twohey and Ms.
Answer three simple questions.
What is your reporting process like? Cold-calling?
Knock at the door? All of it?
Emily steel: We're looking at a specific case from 2004 when a young producer on Bill O'Reilly's show sued him for sexual harassment.
It's a big open case, with tabloids everywhere, and then it's settled and you never hear from her again.
So we went through the lawsuit first, and then we made a list: Who is this woman?
Where did she go to college?
Who was she working?
He is his employee on these two issues.
Ten years?
Basically, we just started dialing dollars.
Mike and I will be sitting in this little conference room and we have this crazy, very home
Style chart on the whiteboard wall.
We keep calling, calling, calling.
It's a very subtle process to put a compelling source on the record.
How did you deal with it?
Megan TWOHEY: I found out that I believe, "We know we can't change what's going on with you, but we might be able to prevent this from happening with other women.
"In my first conversation, I always tried to stress that it was a process.
I won't hang up and disappear on you and then you will show up in a story.
We will go step by step and you have a say in every step.
Throughout the reporting process, how did your concept of the story change?
Jodi kantor: When we started, I thought we were just correcting the possibility of what happened in history.
In the course of reporting, once we begin to discover the last 2015 events, the moral focus of the story has shifted.
For us, this is a time when the news "aha" can be said that these allegations have never stopped. The latest high

In our first newsletter last week, we wrote that "my moment" has become bigger: we see the world through the lens.

Listen to work-
I don't think our society will listen or believe in work.
Class women at work
Those class jobs that speak out for harassment
At Wal-Mart, McDonald's, maid, etc.
They will probably (continue to)
If they speak up, they will lose their jobs.
They may be deported if they do not have a certificate. What are we —
As a woman, as a society
To protect and help these women,
Who is the most vulnerable situation? —
Leslie Cohen, Cambridge, Massachusetts
Here is the intervention of the bystanders, and perhaps because of all this women will feel the ability to call out loud (loudly)
Harassment when it happens.
We should have training courses like ourselves.
Defense class, where we can practice shouting "Sir, take your hand off my ass" or whatever is needed at the time. —
Pat, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Trickle-
Down Bharti asked my social network today if anyone knew of any non-public figures who had resigned or been fired on charges of sexual abuse or harassment.
No peeps so far.
What I want to know is: will this trend "trickle down" in our society, or will it continue to be "public only" events?
It is important only when an event changes anywhere. —
Julie Williams, Park Zoo, Pa.
