She is the principal.
Hamilton gave her 287 students an incentive: if they raised $5,000 for the new smart board, she would move office work to the top of the school.
The students raised nine thousand dollars. Pilgrim-
Susi is not sure how she can get a chair and table at the top of the Anson Avenue building, but she plans to keep her word when it's a little warmer outside.
"I didn't figure it out," she said with a smile . ".
"They just want to see me on the roof all day.
"The atmosphere of the school is not always so amiable. When Pilgrim-
Suzy started as principal in Liege five years ago, the second year of transition from kindergarten to present --to-
Grade 5 to kindergarten-to-Grade 8 school.
"The atmosphere was not very positive when I got here.
The students were very upset and they went back to the primary school they thought --

For seven years, the national charity has been honoring donations from school leaders.
The awards ceremony will be held in Toronto on February. Pilgrim-
Susi is one of 11 principals in the province who won the award and the first woman to win the award.
The winners highlighted the achievements made in Liege in recent years as a result of the collaboration between staff, parents and students.
"It was a great honor to receive this award from The Learning Partnership and to be recognized by my staff and community," she said . ".
"It's a bit overwhelming because I like to celebrate the success of others . . . . . . So focus the spotlight (me).

She managed to balance her busy sports coach and the lifestyle of raising three children and her duties as principal by following her mother's footsteps, who raised a family in her career. Pilgrim-
Susi is also from a family of educators because her father is a retired principal, her mother is a retired principal, and her husband is the principal of Oakville.
