Vikings came to ROM.
The Royal Ontario Museum announced this week that it will be the last stop of the Viking tour in North America: The Exhibition.
The exhibition, initiated by the Swedish Museum of History, aims to eliminate the myth of pirates in northern Europe.
For example, the horned helmets that people often associate with are the works of opera costume designers in 1876;
According to the New York Times review of the exhibition earlier this year, it has never been found in archaeological excavations.
"This exhibition shows the new and unexpected explanations of the Vikings, not only the sailing warriors, but also a person who has built a rich and diverse culture.
"Our visitors will be surprised by what they see," rom ceo Josh Basseches said at a press conference . ".
"The ROM exhibition is the first Vikings exhibition we have ever held.
"The exhibition shows the interactive exhibitions and nearly 500 exhibits collected by the Swedish Museum of History --
Many people rarely see them outside Scandinavia.
From the 8 th to the 11 th century, it illuminates the work, family life, religion, trade and other aspects of the Nordic Society.
The display includes two reconstructed Viking ships: 13-
Abby and 32-foot Eik Sande.
ROM includes a North American section that explores the settlement of the Nordic people in Canada, including works from the museum's ancient cultural collection.
