Margaret Dolan Ann Ormsby Cary and director of Rosanne Kurstedt attended their last meeting as a member of the board of education and received the honor of the board.
Rich Mattessich talked about the countless contributions everyone has made to the school district and submitted to them the resolution of the board of directors.

Kari retired nine and a half years after the board, and he chaired three committees and served as vice president.

Kurstedt, who is retiring after three years of working on the board, has served as vice chairman of the board for the past two years and has served as chairman of both committees. We thanked Dr.
Kurstedt has done a lot of work during her tenure, especially in supporting curriculum and technological progress in the region. Mrs. Cary and Dr.
Kurstedt graciously acknowledged the tradition of excellence in Westfield by the board, administration and staff.
Incoming board members Peggy Oster and Chris langhat attended the meeting and will be sworn in at the next meeting on January 6.

Auditor Bob Morrison reports that the accounting practices in the public school district of Westfield are fully compliant and that our financial information is accurate and consistent in accordance with national rules and accounting standards.
Data is reliable.
In addition to our compliance with federal grants, his staff spent weeks testing internal controls and procedures in the region.
He confirmed that the internal controls in the area operate effectively, without any defects and are properly designed.

Senior students will not attend PARCC as they attend HSPA as junior students. Dr.

The regular course lasts 55 minutes. Dr.
PARCC will include two math courses and three ELA courses, Nelson explained.
He expects to have two tests every morning at 8: 05.

He said that WHS had enough equipment to operate the computer.

Teleplanning chair Ginny Leiz reported at a meeting on December 2 that committee members reviewed the issues in the 2009 Community Survey, which may be used in the survey scheduled for February to March 2015. Mrs.

The Blue Devils have achieved their best results of the season and won sixth place.

WHS robotics club congratulates robot club Westfield High School.
On November 29, team 5968 won first place in the first Westfield corner robot competition at Westfield High School.
The 7102 team won their own victory by bringing the Connect award home.
The Connect Award recognizes the team's efforts in contacting experts and professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
And outreach to the community on robotics.
In addition, both teams participated in the qualifying match held on Saturday, December 6 at PA Ambler, where they won the FTC Award, the highest achievement award for the FTC (

Sports Congrats Kate Edmunson from Westfield High School for admission to the University of Miami, who will join the crew.
Kate has many achievements, including winning medals, and her crew of 87 placed 2nd boats in one of the world's most prestigious regatta in Boston this fall.
Congrats on the signing of the letter of intent by the three hockey team captains of our girls.
They include: the University of Boston Samantha Pauletti, Mallory Weiser Northwestern, and Virginia Tech.
Congrats Chris taffesky, who was named the best boy cross-country coach of the year by the New Jersey inter-school sports association.
In addition, Westfield High School coach Chris Flores, who is also from the sports department, was selected by Nike to lead one of the teams that competed in Nike in December.
