Sir, as a recently retired teacher, I find it interesting to say that the use of an "interactive whiteboard" has improved the test scores for a grade (report, Sept 8).
Just because students are skilled in finding their own way on an interactive whiteboard doesn't necessarily mean they are increasing their learning.
Many of the students I teach are excellent at using technology, but lack critical analysis, knowledge or understanding.
Many teachers think interactive whiteboards are gimmicks;
