The company's products go beyond the top of the range, and the recently launched Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 shows what it can do in terms of design and screen.
But one thing it doesn't know so far is its front camera.
Of course, Xiaomi's smartphone also has a front camera, but you can't take a selfie so far.
But Xiaomi has never made a fuss about its front camera.
It's just a kind of existence that does its job.
So when Xiaomi announced the launch of the new Redmi 1 and touted its front camera as its key feature, I had to admit that it surprised me.
The Xiaomi Redmi 1 is priced at Rs 8,999 and looks like it's just another budget for the Xiaomi smartphone, but it's a little bit of a place to attract selfie lovers. With a 16-
The phone features a megapixel front camera with a flash that is designed to attract buyers who take a lot of photos of themselves.
This affordable smartphone is also the first phone in India to use MIUI 9 out of the box, representing a new approach from Chinese manufacturers.
Find out the price of Redmi 1 in our review.
As expected by the Rs 8,999 smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi 1 is a core budget device.
With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC, this phone is equipped with 3 gb of RAM and 32 gb of RAM, while the Rs 10,999 will buy you 4 gb of RAM and 64 gb of storage space.
Interestingly, Redmi 1 is a recently launched renamed Redmi note 5A Prime phone in China.
You can also get a fingerprint sensor at the back, which is the expected feature within this price range.
Mobile phone running outside Android Nougatof-the-
Box is also Xiaomi's first mobile phone in India with MIUI 9.
There are 5 mobile phones. 5-
Inch HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass on top with micro screen
USB charging cable and 10 w charger.
This is a fairly simple smartphone that provides typical budget performance that is consistent with the price of the phone.
Everything is reliable and you can't face any major problems in the dayto-day use.
Please also read: Oppo F5 review this phone doesn't look very different from the typical design language of Xiaomi, unfortunately it's a bit disappointing.
While the plastic body may be forgiven given the price and functionality, it is not encouraging to say the typical Xiaomi look.
There are three capacitive navigation keys at the bottom of the front of the phone with no backlight.
The top of the phone is 16-
Megapixel front camera and flash.
Interestingly, you get a dedicated storage slot on Xiaomi Redmi 1;
The tray has separate slots for both SIM and micro cardsSD card.
In fact, Xiaomi Redmi 1 is more than just a reliable mid-
Smart phone series.
In line with the current most popular trend for Indian consumer groups, Xiaomi Redmi 1 comes with 16-
A megapixel front camera with a flash.
The aperture of the front camera is f/2.
0, and can record video at a resolution of up to 1080 p.
The rear camera on the phone is 13-

Audio LED flash and 1080 p video recording.
We took a bunch of photos using the front camera, and the result is good if your focus area is narrow.
This basically means that you get good pictures when you take a selfie;
If you expand the focus area a bit, you'll find that the others in the group selfie are a bit unfocused.
When it comes to details, you will see that the phone is using all its resolutions to provide quite a bit of detail, the color is about-
What will you expect compared to an affordable smartphone like this.
The reason why the image loses focus in group shooting is because of the fixed focus we see on the sensor.
We asked the product leader of Xiaomi in Jai Mani, India.
"The smartphone front camera usually doesn't have variable autofocus, because the photos you take are usually fixed distances, that is, the arm length from your hand to your face.
In theory, there is nothing against the front camera with variable focus, except that it will make the module a little larger.
Therefore, for better design, smartphone manufacturers insist on installing fixed focus sensors in front.
"You'll notice that the person closest to the image is usually the focus in group shots, while others look blurry.
The result is the best when you put your face in the middle of the frame, so when you take a picture of yourself, Xiaomi Redmi 1 is really the best.
With some careful frames, you might get the second person into the shoot without making it too blurry.
Although the results are not impressive, this is probably the best selfie ever.
You can buy a central smartphone under Rs 10,000.
The rear camera produces the same acceptable results for the price.
While there are some textures and colors, they are as real and vibrant as possible, which can be obtained from smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC.
In general, nothing special.

Xiaomi has launched many smartphones this year.
Starting with Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4 became top-

Xiaomi Redmi 1, the company offers something-of-the-box too. The 16-
The megapixel selfie camera and flash, as well as the set of tickets as a brand ambassador in Katrina Kaifu, show that Xiaomi has taken a different approach.
This may pay off;
After all, this is what consumers want, and companies are using it to show their ambitions.
The phone itself is basic in many ways, but there is no doubt that it will attract parts of the market that want to have a high-quality alternative to most of today's mediocre choices.
Redmi 1 brings benefits to selfies
The first audience through its Redmi 1, if you want to have a good front camera under Rs 10,000, it's definitely worth a look.
